Fourteen More Cosponsors Join Alan Grayson, Sign On to Federal Reserve Transparency Act

Fourteen more members of the House of Representatives have responded to Alan Grayson’s call and agreed to cosponsor the Federal Reserve Transparency Act:

Rep Schauer, Mark H. [MI-7]
Rep Scalise, Steve [LA-1]
Rep Forbes, J. Randy [VA-4]
Rep Ross, Mike [AR-4]
Rep Berkley, Shelley [NV-1]
Rep Welch, Peter [VT]
Rep Thornberry, Mac [TX-13]

The addition of these 14 members, and Rep. Raul Grijalva (who signed on last week), brings the total number of cosponsors for H.R. 1207 to 181. If passed, the bill would give the GAO the ability to audit the Federal Reserve.

Says Dean Baker:  "It’s great that more Dems now care about what the Fed is doing with $2 trillion of our money."
