For the Benefit of Mr. Specter, Lieberman “Independently” Describes Pennsylvania’s Sore Loser Law
Posted in: Democrats, Lieberman
This is funny — watch Joe Lieberman describe his exit from the Democratic Party because it was dominated by extremists, just like Arlen Specter’s Pennsylvania GOP primary is dominated by extremists. Then Norah O’Donnell asks RGJoe why Arlen didn’t run first as a GOP — then, after he lost his party’s primary, run as an independent like RGJoe did in Connecticut after his loss to Ned Lamont.
When RGJoe talks about his "independent knowledge" of the Pennsylvania law preventing primary losers from going on to challenge the primary winner, it makes me wonder if he hasn’t researched Sore Loser Laws in every single state, just as a public service to Senate colleagues who may also want to join his Turncoat Caucus.
