Hotline on Call’s guest poster Kevin Rennie compares the possible voting patterns in Connecticut to donuts. Not sure I agree. And I think it is sloppy to think of this in terms of blue collar versus white collar for Lieberman versus Lamont support.
I think people in Connecticut, across the board, are fed up with Joe Lieberman not working hard for Connecticut — but working really hard for Joe Lieberman. That’s the sense I’ve gotten from every CT voter that has e-mailed. I’d be interested in hearing some thoughts from our Nutmeg readers. Somehow, I’m thinking that a guy with a record of actually filling potholes and teaching kids in an urban setting, day in and day out, is attractive to a whole lot of people who have been getting the cold shoulder from Lieberman’s office for years.
If you’ve got some thoughts on voting and/or donuts, and especially campaign work today — calls, canvassing, rides to polls, what have you — please share in the comments as well.
