Obama on His Grandmother

Here’s a YouTube of Barack Obama talking about Madelyn Dunham, his grandmother who passed away early Monday morning.

She was, in addition to his grandmother, a pioneering woman executive in Hawaii’s banking industry and a person who sacrificed for her grandson, and expected great things of him. She lived just long enough to see him on the threshold of the greatest achievement an American can have in public life.

Ave atque vale, Madelyn Dunham!
