Palin’s Wootengate Coverup Falls Apart

Posted in: Uncategorized

Sarah’s story that she couldn’t possibly have fired Walt Monegan for not firing her estranged brother-in-law had a layer of bright-shiny-thing about it: she now claims she fired Walt Monegan because he made a lobbying trip to Washington seeking federal funds to fight sex crimes. As the governor of the state with the worst rate rape, Palin oddly claims she didn’t authorize Monegan’s trip. And so she fired him.

Except her Chief of Staff’s signature is on the expense authorization, signed prior to Monegan’s trip.

See — if you don’t lie, you don’t have to remember your story, Sarah.

Also, Republican State Senate President Lyda Green, who represents Wasilla, talks about how Sarah made policy differences personal after more than twelve years of "an amicable relationship" as associates and allies. Lyda Green talks about how the continuing campaign rhetoric carried into the Governor’s administration.

Green also talks about the lack of stipulated performance in the Governor’s contract with the oil pipeline contruction company.

That sounds like Sarah, if elected Veep, certainly won’t have to measure for new drapes at the Naval Observatory.
