Minority of House Minority Backs McCain’s Rejected NYT Op-Ed

Posted in: 2008 Election, Adwatch, Congress, GOP ethics, John McCain, McCain, Republicans, St. John McCain

Only 96 GOP House members wrote The New York Times’ Op-Ed Page Editor to protest his decision to reject John McCain’s exhortation to victory in Iraq.

In their WATB letter, they recollect The Most Unpatriotic, Insulting Hate-the-Troops Advertisement Of All Time:

… we would strongly urge you to permit a third party the purchase of ad space in your newspaper… perhaps at the same reduced rated enjoyed by the liberal 501(c)(3) group MoveOn.org when it ran its disgraceful ad regarding General David Petraeus last September.

Because NYT’s Op-Ed Page Editor decides what ads run?
