McCain’s Latest Iraq Boast: “I Was Right.”

Posted in: 2008 Election, Iraq, John McCain

McCain was introduced at the ”tele-townhall” by Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, the former Democratic vice presidential nominee well known in South Florida from his frequent appearances in the 2000 campaign. McCain and Lieberman advocated increasing troops in Iraq, while Obama has opposed the war from the start.

”I was right. He was wrong,” McCain said. “We are winning in Iraq.”

And while McSame was bragging about how right he was:

A roadside bomb killed three U.S. soldiers and an interpreter in a region of northern Iraq where U.S. and Iraqi forces are battling al Qaeda, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

The attack, which brought the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq this week to seven, suggests al Qaeda remains dangerous in the northern province of Nineveh and its capital, Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad.

And so it goes.
