Sunday Late Nite: A Terrorist Fist Jab?

Posted in: 2008 Election, Barack Obama, Culture wars, Media, Obama, Random Wingnuttery

Media Matters brought to my attention — because I can’t watch FOX News — the ridiculous E.D.Hill, a newsreader who teased an upcoming segment with a "body language expert" with this idiocy:

"A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? … We’ll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says."

So, when African-American spouses bump their fists together (dap) when one has just won his party’s Presidential nomination, FOX calls it a "terrorist fist jab?" This is probably only the start of this meme, a soft roll-out if you will, since E.D.Hill never again mentioned the word "terrorist" when she came back from the break to interview the body language expert. They spoke briefly about the Obamas, and then went on to discuss how incredibly kewl our Preznit is — awesome, even — for contextualizing the Air Force Academy cadet’s super-meaningful moment with a chest bump at the podium.

Got that?

Obama: terrorist

I suppose I understand why FOX news viewers believe that Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the 9/11 terror attacks on our country, that weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq, and that Barack Obama is a terrorist, as is Michelle Obama.

Their televisions tell them so.
