So, the usual set of stupidities then?
Just two days after the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001, Robertson welcomed the Rev. Jerry Falwell onto his show to discuss the cause of the tragedy.
Falwell’s list of guilty parties included “the pagans and the abortionists and the feminists and the gays and the lesbians who are
actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle,” not to mention the ACLU and People for the American Way for good measure. Robertson’s
response to Falwell’s venom? “I totally concur.”
Falwell, actually apologized the next day…Robertson did not.
And while Paula Deen is justly criticized, Pat Robertson just keeps rolling on.
“For some reason now the Supreme Court has said homosexuality is now a constitutional right and this homosexual marriage decision that was
handed down recently by the majority glorifies this activity and talks about the civil rights and all this,” he continued. “Well, the Bible
didn’t talk about civil rights it talked about this was an offense against God and it was an offense against the land and the land would
vomit you out.”
Yeah, the Bible also talks about slavery and not about suffrage — I’m sure Pat would happily remedy that other oversight of ours ASAP.
Pat just keeps making money — well, asking old people for theirs actually.
