GRITtv: Who Is The Iraqi Resistance? Beyond the Pentagon Spin

Iran, Al-Qaeda, Saddam’s "dead-enders"… you’d have a pretty muddled picture of who’s fighting in Iraq if you only read the headlines in American media. Five years ago, President Bush was declaring "Mission Accomplished," at the same time Iraqis were already mobilizing to oppose U.S. occupation.

Molly Bingham and Steve Connors were there. Their award-winning new film, Meeting Resistance, offers a very different picture than we’ve seen before, and it’s just been released on DVD.
