GRITtv: Walter Mosley

Posted in: Books, Race relations

In this GRITtv segment, Laura talks with activist and author Walter Mosley about his latest book, The Tempest Tales. Mosley tells the story of Tempest Landry, a young black man who is shot dead by the police when he’s mistaken for another man. When he arrives in heaven, he is denied entry but refuses St. Peter’s command to proceed to hell. We ask the question: Is sin for black people the same as it is for white people? Is it the same for the poor and the rich?
