John McCain: Conflict In Iraq is “Over” Because “Mission Accomplished” Banner Said So (VIDEO)

Posted in: 2008 Election, Iraq, John McCain

On May 1, 2003, unbeknownst to you, conflict in Iraq was over. Or so said the Man Who Would Be President, John McCain:

CAVUTO: … Senator, "after a conflict" means "after the conflict," and many argue the conflict isn’t over.

MCCAIN: Well, then why was there a banner that said ‘mission accomplished’ on the aircraft carrier? The conflict…the major conflict is over, the regime change has been accomplished.

Well, I guess we know why McCain doesn’t think Bush should be "blamed" for the "Mission Accomplished" banner.  It was right!
