Late Nite Wednesday: The Credibility Gap

Posted in: "War on Terror", BushCo, GOP ethics

080422_rice_iraq_neighbrs.jpgThe story so far: Jimmy goes to meet with Hamas, saying that the Bush people didn’t object. Condi sez they did. Jimmy sez Condi’s lying. Who should we believe?

Well, considering that Condi’s lied to us about this and this and all of this and this and this and a whole bunch of other rather important things I can’t fit into what’s supposed to be a shortish post, I think I’ll go with the old peanut farmer, thanks.

As Atrios said way back in March of 2004, Condi is the worst of the lot when it comes to Bush Junta liars: "Her first instinct seems to be to lie – she frequently seems to do it when it isn’t even necessary. Or, maybe, she just isn’t any good at it. But, in any case it’s long past the time when anyone should give her the benefit the doubt about anything she says or does."

And that was a full four years ago. She’s told a lot more lies since then. (By the way: Kofi Annan sez Jimmy did the right thing.)

To see video of Condi lying, go to www.CondiMustGo.com, and check out the petition there while you’re at it. Thanks!
