Ah, Iraq not only have you been receiving the "blessings of liberty" with extreme prejudice for five years, now the Four Horsemen of the Wankapolypse have descended upon you:
And they bring tidings of great joy — for not only has the nation now funding this war on chinese I.O.U.s stopped paying attention, they’ve somehow managed to create the idea good ol’ Iraq doesn’t matter anymore.
The American Economy does.
Okay, granted this is where the plan starts to fall apart.
But still you have managed to allow these four old gentlemen one last shot at building up their armies for one final century-long push into India and Siam and winning this Risk game.
Just yesterday we had this lovely headline:
Cheney cites ‘phenomenal’ Iraqi security progress as bombing kills 40
"He actually, in my opinion, will bring about more change than the Democratic candidates because he’s a boat-rocker . . . a problem-solver," Lieberman said of McCain. "He’s really a reformer."
Yes, Joe, if nothing else McCain’s a definitely a change agent, turning a second Bush term into a third:
"Withdrawal? What that means is that Al-Qaeda wins," McCain told CNN in an interview while on a visit to Baghdad.
"Their dedication is to follow us home"
Did McCain tell them what flight they were leaving on…how about the gate?
I just love uncritically reported nonsense when it comes to this guy. Though he may make a tasty rib and that’s certainly critical.
