Adam Green- Morning After Midnight

I don’t know what happened with Oscar’s team last night. In spite of some great films worth honoring, the whole evening seemed to have a matte finish from the get go and the music routines all fell flat.

How John Stewart maintained his cheery disposition under such languid conditions is beyond me. I can’t help but think he looked out in the audience and pictured every face looking like Henry Kissinger or some cartoon action figure just to keep himself amused. Perhaps the writers’ strike fog has yet to lift in LA.

I thought the Juno Soundtrack, which has several lively original recordings by The Moldy Peaches, would have provided a much more festive performance during last night’s show. Maybe in preparation for next year, the Oscar production team could consult with Adam Green and crew who have been producing some entertaining videos these days.

What’s on your mind tonight?
