God’s Own Party

While I’m putting the finishing touches on my Libby article(s), thought everyone ought to take a peek at the op-ed that caught my eyes this morning.  "How the GOP Became God’s Own Party" by Kevin Phillips (in today’s WaPo).  I would imagine this is going to be a topic of conversation for a while among a lot of political circles, and I thought everyone ought to take a peek at this while it was fresh.

(I found this hilarious cartoon in the comments of MyDD — it’s clearly a Horsey, but I haven’t been able to source it back to the original link.  If anyone can find the original, I’d be much obliged — I don’t use cartoons very often, and when I do, I want to give the original as much credit and traffic as I can.  This one is a particularly fine example of political satire via artwork.)
