Great News — Jill Carroll Released
Posted in: Iraq

CNN is reporting that Jill Carroll has been released from captivity, apparantly unharmed. She was interviewed by Baghdad Television, a station owned by the Iraqi Islamic Party upon her release.
I’m sure more details will come out in the days ahead.
UPDATE: More from the Christian Science Monitor, the NYTimes, and the WaPo.
UPDATE #2: And John Podhoretz is an insensitive, bloviating ass. The woman has been free for less than a day, and the wingnut attack brigade has already geared up to paint her as being mental. (Looks like reader Corinne caught this at the same time I did. Kudos.)
