…And Then Malkin’s Head Exploded

After the latest GOP crypt-ology tribute and pie fight, the posturing was taken to new heights:

– Cillizza was deliberately leaked an "internal" memo clearly prepared for secret deliberate launch into public consumption, declaring the super duper strengthiness of the McCain campaign. Because truthiness and spin are all in the eyes of the Village. And so, of course, the parts of the memo most designed for leakage got printed and discussed in full, with the standard disclaimer of "grain of salt" at the end in pig latin.

– In response, the Romney campaign is about to outspend McCain in the Feb. 5th primary states, after already forcing McCain to outspend his profligate ad expenditures in Florida. Keep draining those deep pockets, fellas. Please.

– George Bush and Dick Cheney ought to be tied like a tin can to the bumper of any GOP car that takes to the electoral highway. They married them, they can damn well take them along for the rest of the ride.

– The GOP narrative boils down to: "you are a liar" and "more wars, and screw the economy." (Note to Romney: Just saying over and over the words "Fred Kagan" does not make you any more credible on military policy with sane people. Note to McCain: Try learning the definitions of your econ vocabulary flash card words, rather than just throwing them out at random. At least give passing credibility the old college try, Anchor Man. Oh, and Matthews needs a cold shower.)

– The punditocracy has all but crowned McCain king of the GOP goobers. And the Korner Kidz are beside themselves. Dr. Helen? Still bonzer-yo-yo. Depression set in.

…and then, Malkin’s head exploded.

"Hello, schadenfreude hotline? I’d like a twelve pack. No, make that a double."
