Truth Is…

Posted in: 2008 Election, Family values, Health care, Styrofoam

Former Sen. John Edwards at a campaign forum in NH, speaking with a cancer survivor about the cost of health care.

Truth is that even with insurance benefits, the cost of healthcare is enormous for a whole lot of folks in America.  Truth is that predictions are that those costs are going higher still if things stay as they are

Truth is that health care is on the minds of a whole lot of voters, because a whole lot of voters are holding their family finances together on a shoestring these days — and when it comes to healthcare costs, bankruptcy concerns, mortgage foreclosures and the rising costs of utilities and groceries, there are more and more folks living on the edge as we move forward.

Truth is, as folks in New Orleans and all along the Gulf Coast can attest, there is no guarantee on access to health care at all.  Truth is that more than 9 million children in the United States — that’s one in nine kids — have no health insurance coverage as things stand today.

Truth is…the woman in the video above?  She could be you.
