With the release of Marooned and a countdown for The Division Bell, Pink Floyd fans were hopeful for a reunion…
Pink Floyd fans have been excited all day after an intriguing countdown appeared on the band’s commemorative The Division Bell website.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the English rock band’s final album and earlier, a video of moon satellite images and vintage footage set to their music began rolling beneath a ticker preparing for a mystery 3pm announcement.
The website also created the hashtag #TBD20 in a nod to The Division Bell’s March 1994 release.
Sadly, there will no Pink Floyd comeback tour, but there will be a special 20th anniversary edition of The Division Bell and you can watch the video for “Marooned” below(above).
Pink Floyd last appeared together for a full gig in 1985. The group headlined charity concert Live8 in 2005 before Richard Wright died aged 65 in 2008.
Remaining members Nick Mason, David Gilmour and Roger Waters have teased a reunion in the past, with Mason telling NME in September that he was “ready to go but holding my breath”. Waters, meanwhile, confirmed last November that he was busy on a new album.
