Aloha, PPD…! How’s your slice of CA tonite…?
Mercy Mercy Me/What’s Going On…
A lot of people wanted to copy his style. Even more so than Steve Stills or Neil Young.
My favorite Marvin Gay songs ever.
good thanks — had a great day — how’s everything in paradise tonight. Do you have clear skies for the Perseids?
The One Campaign had a bunch of the young guns singing the golden oldies…!
Hey Tut an all. Thanks fer the tunes. I am much busy of late and catching a chance to just read here is special. The comments on many threads has been out standing of late. Y’all should be proud.
The Sun just went down here, but, it’s not looking to promising with all the clouds…!
Aloha, Suz…! How’s your hamlet…?
Aloha, homeroid…! Ain’t the Lake awesome…? ;-)
How’s the 49th state tonite…?
overcast most of the day but clear skies. unfortunately i think i have too much light polution with that street light at the end of my driveway to see shooting stars :(
That would pose a problem, Suz…! 8-(
People Get Ready/One Love…
*heh* Yer evil…! ;-)
Evenin’, CT..! how’s Occupy Hilo doin’?
Well I went down to beautiful Sunnyvale this weekend. I went to see a stand up comedian whose podcast I listen to. It was fun. His name is Jimmy Dore and Here’s a link to his podcast.
This weekend I was playing with this animation tool called GoAnimate. I used another one, PowToon to create the one about guns in schools.
This one is from Jimmy Dore’s podcast. It’s only about a minute and one half long check it out. Still some things I’d like to tweak, but it looks good.
Link to goAnimate
i face due east so that overhead street light atop the power pole is a big hindrance. of course, if i was still at the coast, it would be either foggy or overcast or too bloody cold to go out and watch them. i’ve not seen any showers since i moved to oregon
retired police chief lives next door
Aloha, past…! We’ve been busy with some OLB actions and there’s a march planned…! I saw that your Tarsands crew have been mighty busy of late…! ;-)
I have been tempted but put cardboard in my window instead. But if he lives next door i bet there would not be much of an investigation. Well if he likes meteor showers.
Aloha, spocko…! How’s SF doing tonite…?
the utubes are a’calling me tut — time for me to do some surfing (with occasional forays onto the porch to check out the skies)…. just wanted to stop by and say ya have some fine tubes up your sleeve tonight — thanks for sharing them
homer — the street light shines on his beloved camper in his yard along with one of his boats. i don’t think he would be very happy
This Land is Your Land…
Sweet dreams, Suz…!
night Suzzz – be well
Nite Suz ;)
Sounds like you’re gonna be a busy boy..! That’s good..!
Several activist groups combined to do the action at the tarsands site and blockaded some of the road-building equipment. the road crew was forced to go home for the day. wasn’t able to go to that one, but there will be more.
If I Had a Hammer…
Oops, that wasn’t directed at Suz in particular…! ;-)
We got some serious dodo to deal with here. http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/20130810/parnell-must-do-right-thing-alaskas-salmon-habitat
Captain zero has sold the preverbial farm. Frack me running.
Oh, my. Glad you’re okay.
Talk about sturm und drang!
I had this record when I was 5. I used a hammer today. It was in the worst possible position. I have to hammer nails into trim that was in the ceiling. and then drive the nails home. I will be sore tomorrow.
Isn’t there a big Copper Mine in the works too…?
Great song selection, CT; love that song..!! First time I recall hearing it sung was by PP&M in the early 60′s. But that was probably a little before your time. :-)
Aloha and mahalo, nix…! How’s Taxachusetts tonite…?
PPM or Pete Seeger…?
Good vibes CT I went to Al Jazerra and watched their tour of the Sinai lands between Gaza and Eygpt. They explained what Morsi was imposing and interviewed Bedouin. Was really wonderful they are struggling for freedom and justice. Seem like most of us humans have a lot in common.
Have some RICE, spocko.
I don’t know about elevating the arms, though, if shoulders are sore.
Just a little before my time, since I was born in ’66…! ;-)
Yes Pebble mine is whats next. They swear they will get it. I see a huge rift in Alaska when that gets nearer.
I got to go to bed.
Aloha, bb…! Unfortunately, it seems that Bibi is in cahoots with Sisi on the Sinai…! Israel Violates Egyptian Sovereignty, Kills Four Alledged Sinai Militants
Not sure what they were saying, but, remember, the US has plants in Al Jazeera.
Full disclosure. I have a strong suspicion that we are being fed a lot of bs about Morsi from many sources. I believe the US was very sorry to see him win the election and worked through the IMF and the Egyptian military to oust him. I could go on, but I’ll stop there.
Pleasant dreams, homeroid…!
Nighty nite, homeroid. Sleep well.
I’m thinking PPM. But we had some old 45 from my aunts when they were teens. I just remember that one especially.
Then we had the LPs of Mary Poppins and a few others. I learned all the lyrics to “A white, sports coat and a pink carnation, I’m all dressed up for the dance.”
Once you told me long a go, to the prom with me you’ll go. Now you changed your mind it seems, someone else will hold my dreams.
My sisters and I used to sing in front of the mirror old standards from the 40s.
White Sport Coat, and a Pink Carnation; 1957, Marty Robbins, music and words.
Aloha, Dearie…! How’s your beach tonite…?
As a teen I probably would have done that with a prom date, but I couldn’t find a date
Lovely. And now I’m off to bed singing White Sport Coat and other 50s songs til I fall asleep. :)
El Paso was my favorite Marty tune…! ;-)
Sweet dreams, M’dear…!
There is a seen from a Woody Allen movie in which a teen or young woman is doing that, but the scene was set in the Forties and she is singing along with the radio. I think she was singing along to Carmen Miranda.
I only glimpsed it on TV. I haven’t watched anything of his in years, even on TV.
My boycott has really hurt his career, too./s
Hi, Dearie! Nice to see you.
Oops. Hi and bye then. Rest well.
I think I’ll follow Dearie, but not singing.
Good night all and thanks, CTutttle. Peace.
Sweet dreams, nix…!
Blowin’ in the Wind…
Sorry, got lost in the intertubes, CT. I’d better say good nite. Later, you have a good evening..!
It happens to the best of us…! Pleasant dreams, past…!
A Change Is Gonna Come…
Interesting sources. Sounds like they are between a rock and a hard place. Here is the link http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/faultlines/

Hey CTuttle, great song! It’s 1 a.m. and I just finished canning the first pick of heirloom greenbeans. Good thread, it was nice “lurking, only different”,…:)
