Late Night: Beauty Queen Bomber, Grumpy Old Rock Star

Kids these day! Get offa my lawn! While prog rock/death metal guru Rob Zombie has to suffer through the noise from a skateboard park in his wealthy suburban town of Woodbury, CT, at least he doesn’t have a bomb throwing beauty queen to contend with.  That’s Utah’s problem.

Eighteen-year old Kendra Gill,  crowned Miss Riverton in June of this year and set to progress to the Miss Utah pageant, has had her dreams of bathing suit competition success tossed away and imploded by what what one of her cohorts called

pranking.

More like bombing. Gill and three of her friends,  Bryce Stone, Shanna Smith and John Reagh purchased plastic bottles, toilet bowl cleanser and tin foil at a local Walmart store in Riverton, a town about 20 minutes outside of Salt Lake City, combined the stuff and began tossing them at people and property. All the bombs went off, but no damage or injuries were reported. One of the homemade bombs was lobbed at the home of Bryce Stone’s ex-girlfriend.  Unified Fire Authority Captain Clint Mecham told KUTV:

They’re very caustic, very nasty. So they can cause injury to somebody just if the chemicals get on somebody, much less the fragmentation of the shrapnel damage that can be caused. They can very easily cause serious harm or even death.

The morans are each facing ten felony counts of setting off an incendiary device.
