Got up to the 50′s today, expect high 60′s tomorrow. Spring fever is in the air…! Sun…!
i’m jonesin’ for spring real bad past…. i look at my pots on the porch several times a day but no spring bulb blooms yet… getting close tho
warm! tis currently 52 outside!
hey blue — yes it is *laughing* saw folks walking around in short sleeved ts and shorts today — altho i must admit some folks in oregon wear shorts year round. i’ve had my front door open tonight airing out the place
how’s lala land tonight dood?
Here’s a clip I overlooked last nite… Say Yes…
you played some good tunes last night dood… i was grooving to them
It’s okay. This is “attend to boring errands” week — will have a workman come in and fix a file drawer I screwed up. Gonna have a first-ever detailing for my car. Haircut. Boring but necessary stuff.
Speaking of weather, it’s been an odd winter here, in that it’s actually been getting chilly — mid-’40′s in the mornings. My freshman year in college out here it was in the 80′s in January. I liked it, but it was disorienting.
I had a blast previewing most of ‘em…! ;-)
its been an adjustment here too… moving from the bay area to oregon and life at the coast. now i’m learning about life along the columbia… this is my first spring — i moved into this little place in june of last year.
i always enjoy finding the songs to feature up top and highlight in the comments — that forking utube is a forking time sucking machine tho
on the sunny side of the street
The blooms will come soon. Get ready, put those diamonds on the soles of your shoes and go dancin’ …!
*heh* Only surpassed by Crackbook…! ;-)
My freshman year roommate lived (and perhaps still does, although we’ve fallen out of touch) in Hood River.
some days are coal
Agreed. After you listen to one song, there’s a whole bunch of similar songs in the right-hand margin. Just one more…just one more…I feel like the musical equivalent of a drunkard.
I can get lost for hours in youtube. Coming up is is St. Patty’s day weekend, anything you or Suz have planned for LLN, CT?
i hear that it is beautiful over there. its east and south of me — i’m on the section of the columbia river that runs north south between portland and longview washington before returning to its usual east/west orientation. i hear hood river is gorgeous in the spring with a gazillion blooming fruit trees
tis as bad as that time sucking sofa i used to have. i would put my head down for ‘just a minute’…
i featured a droopy leprechan cartoon sat nite….
Suz, you are LLN’s diamond girl...! Just want you to know that.
And people do…is it called para-sailing?…there, I think.
what can i say
I’ve got the honors, past…! Already have my flat of corned beef and head of cabbage all set…! I was thinking about the Flogging Mollies or maybe Umphrey Macgee…! But, I’m always open for suggestions…! ;-)
lotsa wind blowing along the columbia river… i’ve heard it called kite surfing
A new Scottish group… Holy Esque – Inclusion…
Flogging Mollies are always good. I have a utube vid I’ve been saving for the Irish lasses of FDL, thinking I’ll share it Sat and Sunday LLN both.
bags of rock
It’s been a while, so I may have my terms messed up.
Switching to substantive matters, I listened to Bradley Manning’s hour-long statement to his court-martial today on FDL, one of the reasons why I love this place. The audio was a bit iffy, so I kept a transcript of his testimony on the screen and scrolled through as I was listening to it. What a great man he is.
F*ck Yeah…! My kilt is a skirling…! ;-)
i’m not a participant but that is what i’ve called it… and heard others call it. yours is probably the official term and kite surfing is a slang.
some call it kite boarding
that was a great manning clip — first time i heard his voice
No wonder the government wants to put him away behind closed doors — he’s an idealistic and sympathetic figure; the more he’s exposed to the public, the more his popularity will grow.
Well, speaking of boring errands, I have a few to do before I sleep. Sayonara, compadres.
up to 53 now. i don’t think i will ever get used to the temps going UP after sunset
the craziest things
Shippin’ Up to Boston
gotta admit, i’m a fan of men in kilts :) even window washers who’s motto is no peeking
HAH…!! So that’s your story!!
and i’m sticking to it
token’s giving me the evil (and water-logged) eye… thank you for letting me hang out here with you tonight and i’m glad you enjoyed the music tonight
CT, I saw this the other night on Sunday LLN. What an awesome view!! Is it really that good on the mountain top?
Sleep well, Suz!!
It’s even more gorgeous when it’s clear down below, and, the Ocean mirrors the Milky Way…! ;-)
Sweet dreams, Suz…!
Wow, you are fortunate to be able to experience that! That’s cool, something very few have experienced, something to remember. The stuff of which memories are made, indeed!
Here I thought I’d spend a gray Wednesday in Fairlawn, Ohio. Now, I’m funked up and ready to dance.
hey cynicman — funkify away! thanks for stopping by :)
