I don’t know the commenting history, and I don’t see why it matters to this topic. The glaringly obvious aspect of this story is that NOBODY supports the IP laws that have developed recently in this country – even Congress itself. Just like drug use and prostitution by the DC Elites are reasons to end prohibition in those areas, so too is Congressional usage of ‘illegal’ copying a great exploration in support of ending stoooopid IP laws.

In the meantime, while stupid laws are still on the books, POTUS is responsible for prosecution of said laws.

And POTUS happens to be a Democrat. A Democratic who has engaged in rampant selective prosecution.
