Whatup? I am alone with the cats this week, J is out of town on biz almost all week. I am working on my truck, rebuilding the cooling system. I love being self-reliant, but I HATE getting dirty and cold. Anti-freeze sure does stink.

This heatwave event, which was forecast to push the limits of previous temperature extremes, has required an adjustment of the scale used to represent forecast temperatures with new colours representing 50-52°C and 52-54°C.

And early snow melt high winds and huge forest fires likely where beetles killed big forests. From USDA http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/r2/forest-grasslandhealth/?cid=stelprdb5348787 over 11 million acres can go with a few lightning storms. I fought wild land fire on a crew in Northern CA and Southern Oregon two fire seasons and that is how they get started frequently. The seasons are longer now and the crews fly in from all over on an incident. As in Australia where they are on standby. The carbon industry should get the bills.

King tides and high surf the next 7 mornings along CA coast from Central coast to LA. Some flooding and big rips. The weather is cavorting. Climate change?
Depends on how much they needed the “cheap” oil from Alaska to fund their other debacles. Could cost them big time in money flow. I am just glad for one more year of no drilling. These folks are walking into the muck wearing sneakers.
I drove a couple tug capt’n's today and they were talkin about the whole Kulluk thing and they were miss informed as i could tell as i was well versed in Unified command-thanks to ET, well they said that the tow pins on the kulluk were only 8′ apart and that was not a proper way to bridle a rig and could have been the cause for lack of tow. Also the tow length was not near enough.
