OMG Token is adorable! Don’t you just love watching the snow? On Saturday, we arrived at 10:00 am, to watch a whole day of big, bold snow — like 9 inches or more. It was so wonderful. Too bad it was 85 degrees inside, so no fire with the old folks.

I doubt it will come from outside. We’ll just have to make our own hope, as usual.

Things that didn’t suck in 2012: I finished my linguistics MA and landed my first choice of ESL teaching jobs. Oh, and even if Obama is a bummer, we did get to watch Mitt Romney crash and burn.

Things that went right in 2012:
The CMA opened new gorgeous art galleries; MrCE had our attic insulated and I can sit in bare feet on the sofa in December; I wept watching the Lincoln film.

Oh! Why, yes we did. Huzzah!

As I said before, my favorite line in the world: “less horses and bayonetes.”

Hey all. I was invited into a gathering with food, music , drumming, celebrating legalized Herb, drumming, homemade music. As Eric Clapton said; the best musicians are in their bedrooms. Every once in awhile we can lure them to play. key bon fire and .
but i i’m quitting smoking…..i’m in Lock Down or Bust. Today is the beginning of the 5th Week. For 5 weeks I’ve been drinking a cup of delicious hot H20, thin slice Lemon squeeze, 1 tsp. honey. Every time I have the need to curl my Love around a cigarette, I curl my love around a hot H20 love. Lemon, honey optional.
I haven’t slept more than 2 1/2 hours at a stretch each night for the last 4 weeks. Pee purge it’s a whole lot longer physical purge than we’re taught, in my thought. I’ve been into thinking molecularly as opposed to White Man Blood Tests these days. Color me crazy, color me trendy. And a good thing to know, when battling the Reality Games.
The lesson learned at the end of Week 4; everything about me needs water. Water is healing me from a 44 year addiction. I never fucking TRIED just drinking a cup of hot water and . I did all the Other Shit. I even wound up in a Smoking Cessation -no charge- thing run by a fucking hot young Morman. A 22 year old [ I was 28 F]who SO needed to experience the carnal nature of Mother Earth.
But, by that time I was a professional cook in a position of power. No boy toys. The cruel lessons of Adult Hood.

I’ve been cutting back on caffeine…think it’s working. Woohoo! It’s 2013 here in Central Time Zone, and the firecrackers are going off all around.

My new teensy tinsy law firm is getting off the ground…first hearing likely coming up next week. I’ll be glad to get back to something active; been feeling more unemployed than free lately….Which also means I must get back to a rational sleeping/getting up schedule.

Carry on firepups….gotta go to bed. See you tomorrow, no doubt. A toast to the possibilities of a new year…”clink”. And now…to bed, for realz.

Thanks for the Zeppelin – I remember when. So grateful to have grown up with them, The Who, Pink Floyd, Queen, all that now ancient, untouchable stuff. Before it all became a sell out this music really mattered and defined millions of us. We are in a new, terrifying time now where we have to be mature citizens of the world, respecting people we don’t necessarily like or understand, recognizing and honoring forces greater than ourselves. But this timeless, stupid, majestic rock and roll continues to may I say stick lead in one’s pencil and give me at least the strength to deal with all this BS for one more day, and let’s hope at least one more year. Happy 2013 FDL – what can go wrong.
