William Spengler, the gun nut who killed two of the firemen who responded to the fires he set and wounded two more, used a semi-automatic assault rifle:

Police think Spengler used a military-style Bushmaster .223 rifle with a flash suppressor. They recovered the weapon along with a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver and a Mossberg pump-action 12-gauge shotgun.

For those keeping score at home, that’s another type of AR-15 and happens to be the exact same model used by the DC sniper in 2002.

My understanding of immigration law is that, if you are admitted properly into the country, you have to be convicted after the fact of a forcible felony in your prior country to be deported. The phone tapping charges would be felonies, but not forcible felonies.

We do have an extradition treaty with the UK, so they can have Piers if they want to convict him.

They also want Dancin’ Dave arrested for having a large capacity magazine on Meet the Press in violation of DC law. Again, while anything that makes Gregory uncomfortable is usually fine with me, having to defend him against bogus and hypocritical charges is not a place I like to be.

Who owns guns ? People who convinced themselves the are of superior intellect and eye hand coordination that can make a split second decision, never be wrong or miss. Of course not many have had the chance to be John Wayne or that George Zimmerman guy up close and personal.

1 1/4 % of the population belongs to the NRA and because they have the means and intent, right before the gobernment comes to take their guns, the nations law makers bow to them because of the Kennedy’s,Wallace, Martin Luther King, Gifford, Lincoln say so, NRA style.

So why didn’t we hear about this before the election? I mean, it seems to me like entering the Capitol building armed and removing employees essentially at gunpoint would be news. Also, I have to take exception with the “grassroots” characterization, unless if by “grassroots” you mean shadow funded astroturf.

I’d be happy if the insufferable, smarmy, preening fop were simply removed from CNN’s air. No need to deport, although that would be considered a bonus. Given that the petition has exceeded the number of signatures requiring a response, it will be interesting to see where the story goes. Maybe if we threw David Gregory in there we could get some sort of a quantity discount.
