I got a text message late, late last night. It woke me up in fact. It turned out to be from a co-worker wishing me a Merry Christmas. It was sweet. Apparently he couldn’t wait till morning.

the box of chocolates reminds me of doing table favors for my folks’ 50th anniversary: fold box, add candy, close and tie with ribbon. finally done 2 a. the day of the dinner party.

when i got up later that morning, the boxes i’d stacked neatly on the coffee table were ao the floor: some with gnawed corners, missing ribbon or open enough to account for the foil wrappings on the floor.

my very guilty pomeranian, Lightning, remained in her cave under the desk with her beady little eyes watching me scramble to replace the damaged boxes.

she didn’t have any ill effects tho she did have sparkley sh*t for the next day or so…

Merry Christmas! Oh, to have such a well-behaved animal. This year we can only have lights on the tree because the kittens are at the stage where they chase anything that moves, and lots of things that don’t.

Thanks for FDL. It helps keep me sane (well, relatively sane…).

Thank you so much for all you do to keep the home fires burning, Jane. I had an interesting week, maybe will be able to write about it sometime. There is so much to do to make the world a better place, and it is a privilege to be a part of some things that work to that end.
