That’s good — I’ll add that to my repertoire. I went into the physical therapy department of my HMO a few years ago and got some finger and wrist exercises, which I don’t do as often as I should.

tonight oregon pbs is showing the yule log. they parked a camera in front of a fire in a huge fireplace and every now and then ya see an arm throw in another log or two. songs of the season, mainly instrumental with a heavy emphasis on piano and standards, playing in the background.

i’ve been missing having a fire at this place… tonight i have one to enjoy :)

i am. spent the day with jen and her family — i’m so totally flunking grandmahood… yet again i forgot my camera. but i did remember to bring all the presents.

Not much of a camera person myself. Have one, think of myself as a reasonably good photographer. But I prefer to travel without one; otherwise, I wind up looking at everything through the lens of a camera.

Nice. Good for you. I’m waiting for guests myself. Should be fun. The nice thing about grandhoodidness is that there is no accountability. Everything is permitted so run with it.

i’ve forgotten to take it the last 3 times i went there. every time i have intentions of taking pics of julsie and maybe a video of her. she’s really at a cute age — doesn’t quite understand christmas and still learning how to open presents.

she did like the outfits i got her and kept holding up the dress to her chest. wish i had gotten a picture or two of that. she’s just like her mom — her face totally lit up at the sight of clothing in her christmas presents. jen was such a little fashionista at a wee age

We had a great turnout of volunteers for our bell ringing — any size donation is appreciated. And we lucked out with the weather — clear and cool, no rain and wind today.

i have a possibility of getting a wee bit around 3am and by 7am it will turn to chunky rain (rain/snow mix) and by noon it will all be heavy rain. no white christmas in st helens but there’s a lotta snow in the mts

Well last year we had a wet Christmas. No snow at Christmas. Had a bunch before though.

But we will have a White Christmas this year.

No, no snow here but Timberline lodge has a base of 104″ with 260″ total so far this year since 9-1. Supposed to dry out and get cold starting Thursday for at least a week..

Went to a Christmas eve get together which didn’t end well. One of the folks, a 91 yr old, had to be taken to Emergency. She seems ok now but it was a scare!
