had a facebook message from bfl — his computer is down but he hopes it will be fixed by next week. wanted me to tell ya that he missed spending election night with ya and to give ya’ll his best.
No the problem is his schedule. He works from 4:30 pm to 3 am. and leaves for work at 3:30 pm if not earlier. Since we both work nights, we get up late. Since he needs to eat, I make dinner the same time I’m making coffee. When we get done eating dinner at 1 pm, and that’s all cleaned up, I have to make him something to take to work. In between, I have to run any errands I have to do, as we only have one car (he can’t seem to bother putting a new battery in my car, and we haven’t needed more than one car in 3 years)and I’m doing some part time work at a friends business after my husband leaves for work (I walk there), before going to work myself.
I’m presently debating whether to stick a roast in the crockpot for tomorrow. I don’t really want to have to clean up the kitchen this time of the night and I hate waking up to a mess.
ha! there’s talk of oregon’s legislature legalizing marijuana in the 2014 session so all that tax money doesn’t go across the river into washington state.
Good evening Suz and everyone!! The missus and I just got back a little while ago from the theatre, saw the documentary Bidder 70. What a great job the filmakers did!
i used to have a lady that came in every two weeks and gave the house a top to bottom clean. was so good to come home after worked all day and smell the clean when i walked in the door.
It is, but the money is really good, even before OT, which is why I’m willing to make his life at home as cush as possible. And, he likes the job, fellow employees and corporate culture.
tis 42 with 91% humidity so its gonna be a foggy night… depending on how fast it burns off tomorrow, we may hit 60 tomorrow. gonna start pouring this weekend tho
Exactly. How many working stiffs now a days can afford to spend the money on a cleaning lady? It didn’t cost much. If I recall $25 a shot, unless I asked her to do the fridge or something. And since I didn’t want to look like a slob, I cleaned before she arrived.
And she even found the diamond that had fallen out of my wedding ring once. I had looked for it for a week or two. And had vacuumed and looked through the bag, looking for it. She managed to find it. I suspect it had been trapped in the dogs hair or something.
mine was one of those women who liked to keep busy and had an hour to fill before her daughter got outta school — she wanted to spend it cleaning houses ‘for mad money’ until she married and he didn’t like the idea of his wife cleaning other peoples’ houses *sigh*
g’evening pups… how are ya’ll doing tonight?

I was going to ask you if you heard about the election… :)
Aloha, Suz and lln pups…! What a delite to be the lead-in to lln, Suz…! ;-)
hey dosido — how ya doing tonight? are you talking about a race that has not been resolved yet?
aloha and congrats tut — how’s paradise tonight?
I saw that earlier, Suz, I certainly hope he’ll be back up at the Lake shortly…!
nope, just being facetious.
I could see the fireworks of my red meat republican relatives heads exploding from two towns away…
Thanks for the info. I’ve been meaning to email him. Was worried he had family/friends in NJ who had gotten hit hard by Sandy.
I don’t know what happened, but my husband gets his first real job in 3 years and all of a sudden I’m too busy to spend much time on the tubes.
i jones when i’m not connected…
Another gorgeous day here, followed by a nice cool evening shower…! ;-)
i got actually funny email from one of my fundy gopper uncles that had nothing political in it at all…
ooooh, that’s a good problem! congrats to you both!
hey tuez — how ya doing tonight? i think he has access during the day – just not at night.
is it because ya can now do all those things you could not do when he was underfoot?
Thanks.
cool!
mine went into mourning. today I saw a focus group video done by CBS. It was sad/funny.
99% of all emails i get from him are typical beck/rushbo rantings… i think he may have blown a gasket or two back into place…
big time operator
I’m doing fine.

I think my favorite post election joke is that Denver is going to change the name of its basketball team to the McNuggets.
minnie

Now, now, Suz, us under/unemployed, over-aged, males are not all totally useless, m’dear…! ;-)
crockpot for sure….jeebus
Your wife is blessed-can an agnostic use that word?
ha! there’s talk of oregon’s legislature legalizing marijuana in the 2014 session so all that tax money doesn’t go across the river into washington state.
true but ya’ll do take up a lotta time even if you are not one of the useless ones…
The problem is a 60 y/o working 60 hours a week requires a dedicated support staff and I’m said staff. Yes, he works Saturday’s too.
Maybe in my next life, I’ll get my own staff.
I did go shopping on Sunday to “pay” myself.
go daddy go
*heh* It takes two to tango, some just need to lead more often than the other…! ;-)
i’ve said for years that one of these days, i wanna get a wife
Good evening Suz and everyone!! The missus and I just got back a little while ago from the theatre, saw the documentary Bidder 70. What a great job the filmakers did!
tango
Congrats to your hubby on the new job!
hey past — how’s the slc area tonight?
nuther tango
(catching up on the comments) Ooh – sixty hours per week seems a bit grueling.
I’ve been saying that for years too.
Back before Reaganomics finally trashed the economy, I did have someone come in and clean. I, for real, even had a horse and a pony, sigh….
Since I know I’m not the only one who has seen their buying power diminish, why can’t repub voters not recall that they’ve capsized too?
‘Tis a clear, starry night but temps are in the high 20′s – brrrrr!
Thanks. I was about to start looking for a cardboard box.
Last Mango…

ditto on pay… and cleaning ahead of time. it took such a load off my shoulders and i was able to spend more time with the girls, quality time.
and yet another
Glad to hear it. That makes it more bearable when the money’s good; and having likable fellow employees is a bonus.
Cheeseburger in Paradise !!

My fingers are crossed it will work out, at least through the first 90 days.
dang…. i lost mine when she got married – she was a gem amongst gems…
fingers and toes crossed here too
Funny, mine married a UPS manager, and she, herself, worked for Fed Ex. In other words, she didn’t need to be doing the side job.
