Hey, CT & Gang….. Teddy’s post was really something. I so wish we would have a change to vote FOR someone again sometime!
How’s the boy, CT? Thinking of all of you…. with healing thoughts.
Btw, ya’ll, I’m a bit distracted by the ‘tornado’, we’re babysitting the munchkin while the youngsters enjoy a movie and a quiet nite…! ;-)
Aloha, Dearie…! That was a most excellent post…!
Hey CT! I almost married a Navy man from Iowa. I was scared off when I found that the women sewed their own underwear.
In Your Eyes…
*whew* Finally the stubborn little cuss succumbed to the sleep monster…! ;-)
wow. Good choice. After reading the Why Wall Street Wins story I am depressed. It’s about the impact that the Wall Street Fraud had on the country and on people.
Break the rules (or buy new ones), create your customers, crash the economy because of your risks, demand the taxpapers bail you out, don’t fire any individuals, block any real regulations, start over.
Now I feel like a chump for following the laws (but it’s good I do because they like to put poor people in jail for drugs and smaller financial crimes.)
It makes me angry, and angry people aren’t good little employees.
What if you don’t have a union, or paper to back you up? You just suck it up.
I’m sure there’s a story there, CE! Is it wrong if I laugh?
wasn’t that a forking great book salon! i was lurking, amazed and awed at the conversations flying back and forth. wow.
Nope….. you wait for someone who is a true leader to call for a national strike or for a march. Time is coming, I think. I keep a bag packed.
Hey, thanks, CT. Very nice complementaritality.
…What if you don’t have a union, or paper to back you up? You just suck it up.
Aloha, spocko…! Those Wildcat Strikes at Walmarts are brilliant, if not, Occupy…! ;-)
That truly was an awesome post, Teddy…! *g*
Biko…
Hi
CT I added two comments at the end of your post yesterday, correct me if i am wrong.
Bill Moyers had a discussion on plutocrats Friday Then today our friend Bill Black Hosted The book salon on The Payoff: Why Wall Street always wins.
The rich and powerful have succeeded in creating a Plutocracy, Taibbi compares it with Russia’s new wealthy class cloistered from the populous.
What we can change is questionable, but we must understand what we are dealing with to be able to survive. They still need a consumer society but we need to learn to live much smarter and we are in a new game and need to adjust our behavior accordingly.
I worked for McGovern too. So many addicts don’t nave good outcomes glad you were able to move from the problem to the solution group. Good post. His daughters loss was tragic.
Aloha, bb…! I completely agree, we do need to know thine enemies, and actively strive to alleviate and/or mitigate their impacts…!
Aloha, CT and assorted pups,it’s nice for us progressives to have a day like this– tomorrow back to the campaign I want over yesterday, more like weeks ago; hope all are as well as possible
Red Rain…
Aloha, BFL…! How true, and, there’s no better place for us Progressives/Liberals to gather than here Lakeside, eh…? ;-)
How’s TCB doing tonite…?
TCB has turned tyhe corner-warm but not oppresively hot and humid and blue skies without a cloud
no Obama or Joe in a while– wonder if they’ve conceded FL and will shoot the load on Ohio
so to speak
Big Time…
It should be fascinating to see what transpires tomorrow nite in Boca Raton…! I wonder who’s timetable to Bomb Iran will be sooner…? 8-(
Hey you can’t sell weapons without wars or can you. Wars really do benefit the weapons industry and related:
Weapons
Weapons systems
Tanks, Planes
Munitions: various bombs, rockets, bullets, air to air missiles,
Data systems: computers, storage data tech, field medical supplies
Ships, cruisers, Carriers, cutters, submarines, nuclear warheads
The list goes on and on fro the for profit killing industry that we pay for.
Sledgehammer…
*heh* Peace sure is a whole lot cheaper, eh…? ;-)
