dearie i’m focusing on how to decorate my christmas tree instead of politics. i have an artificial pre-lit tree and am looking forward to decorating my first christmas tree in 10 years.

All this political crap has led me to watching various “Housewives” as a kind of antidote. You gotta laugh. I feel that my IQ is dropping by the week!

..it is weird, but just knowing you guys are here and communicating, sharing and open .. many a day it is a hi-light .. there is so much of a “family” feel here at times .. something to be treasured in these times when a soul can grasp at “forlorness” .. I fear I am saddened by the whole Election process .. it confounds common sense ..

Now, that’s fun! Maybe I should start my Xmas preparations. I saw my little boys and my daughter this afternoon and had a quick visit with them and my dad …. that’s always a good thing! And I’ll have the boys for dinner tomorrow night and will take them to dinner at Outback with my best friend and her husband….and that will be delightful. It’s the little things that help me put the stupidity in its place!

howdy Tut .. great to see you .. we are getting close to winter .. leaves are abandoning their trees at an alarming rate .. we usually dinna get any “stay-at-home” snow til after Halloween .. it has been a beautiful fall .. best time of the year when the sun shines ..

My daughter is being honored in our area as one of “The Top 40 Under 40″ business people. She’s just such a lovely person. Great worker/great wife/great mother. Makes me proud. So she’ll be being honored and I’ll be sharing the cutie-pies with my friends, their Tia and Tio.

So sorry for you cough, CT. Wish I could send some of the delicious chicken broth I made …. I’ve been grooving on chicken pot pie, chicken enchiladas, and chicken soup. Pretty yummy stuff. Just breathing it while it heats up is amazing.

Yes, or vinegar and hot chile sauce. Lots of recipes online. I use vinegar and Cholula or some other hot sauce. I’m a big fan of hot and sour soup. I think tofu and mushrooms and scallions and parsley and carrots and stuff make it into a fine “health food.”

I’m not a specialist….. I use whatever I have. I have so many cookbooks that I dearly love and refer to often, but when something new comes along, I’m all over google for new recipes. Surprisingly fun and purposeful.
