Do I recall correctly that MFI has married into an Hezbollah family? That’s not something I’d hold against what he reports, but rather, he’d be reporting from a uniquely privileged perspective.

So I seem to recall that from his reporting on the 2008 Israel/Hezbollah battle, which Israel lost.

Yes, but the question still stands. Those reports were from a long time ago, but IIRC they gave excellent perspective that was available nowhere else. I’m not looking to discount anything. I’m just looking for perspective.

FWIW, I have friends, meaning colleagues and former students, from almost all elements of Lebanese society, Muslim, Druze, Philangist, various Orthodox flavors of Christianity, e.g., Armenian, etc. They get along pretty well, but most of them hate Syrians and Hezbollah. Mark’s reporting, IIRC, is the first and only that I’ve heard from inside Hezbollah.

It was a serious Game-Changer, bb, the very reason mfi felt compelled to post on it…! ;-)

This woman needs voice lessons. That’s one of the most pathetic vocal performances I’ve ever heard. All of the rich orchestration and reverb effects can’t compensate for a poor vocalist. Thumbs down.
