Bruce Springsteen – E Street Shuffle with The Roots (Live at Roskilde 2012)
Hippo Birdies to ‘The Boss’ on his 63rd Bday…!
What’s on your mind tonite…?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRUUUUUUUUUCE!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwinGX7Fouo
Aloha, BFL…! How’s the City Beautiful tonite…?
Ain’t it kewl that the Boss is still the Boss… Death To My Hometown…
VERY cool, man— and still so Jersey
Boss is the man forever! Hello Pups! CT Hiya!
Wednesday nite, the Boss squared off with Vini Lopez… He even caught a wave or two…! Not too shabby for a Sixty+yr./old…! ;-)
i was up in asbury park in july and it’s made something of a comeback– as a resort; jobs are gone, though and they ain’t comin’ back
he just played Giants (MetLife, ugh!!) Stadium friday and saturday— must have been awesome and I never use that word-hate it; saw him there in, i dunno, 2004 or 5 or so– awesome
CE!!!
Aloha, Christine…! How’s Cleveland doing tonite…?
*heh* Some more from Metlife stadium, recently… Twist and Shout…!
BF! So wonderful to see you up so late, EST! And it IS late!
Rain, rain, and more rain! We left Sept.1 looking at our dead, dry lawn. Returned home to a green giant lawn! It has been raining ever since. How are you?
dayum– gettin’ the old band back together
just a great showman
It’s been the typical on and off Rain showers here, M’dear…! Don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes or so…! ;-)
may be mistaken but i think he closed the show with this at 2 am
*heh* Reliving the Glory Days even, eh…? ;-)
and to answer you’re query, CT, TCB is OK; no better, no worse
Gearing up for winter. We have ordered firewood, and are loving the cooler temps. Autumn is my favorite season.
there’s an excellent old version of Thunder Road making its way ’round Facebook, like 1978– wow! he never played that when i’ve seen him; he owes me
so I’ve been asking ’round FDL— anybody think the election is basically over; in a way it’s too close to say that but on the other hand, I can’t see Romney gaining 1 single more vote
love fall (i e autumn) haven’t seen one in 6 or 7 years; i’m so sick of Palm Trees– they suck and are useless and good-for-nuthin’
miss fall so much
How’s about a ’76 version, Bfl…? Thunder Road…
I”m so hoping that you are right. New Obama HQ opening in my Cleveland Heights neighborhood was a thrill for me.
I will pick up red maple leaves and put them on my desk for you.
My only worry is the same Diebold shenanigans, as in the ’04 elections, play out…! 8-(
*heh* O Canada…! ;-)
aloha tut
the one I’m talkin’ about!!!! Capitol Theater in Passaic! seen some great shows there
I’m such a girl, I have handfuls every lunch hour and just display them on the desktop. Sigh. Coldplay.
Aloha, Suz…! How’s the hamlet tonite…? *g*
Hi Suzanne!
strike that; not the one I’m talkin’ about— but can’t complain; got confused ’cause he’s wearin’ what we used to call a “guinea t” in both
that’s not a NJ expression is it
down to a nice 58 outside. week is supposed to be in the 70′s during the day and 40′s/50′s at nice. my time of year :)
*heh* My Mom happened to be born in Passaic, en route to Florida, I think that was the only time she was ever in Passaic…! ;-)
thank you!!! but you have to put them in a marble cover notebook and put them under saran wrap
hey ce — i’m thinking about making applesauce and apple butter
didn’t miss much — some great shows in the Capitol, though
so you have some NJ in you; did not kmow that
Born to Run…
Just bought some apple butter on Friday at our local market. Yum!
I still haven’t found what I’m looking for…
CT that was wonderful, and I have to leave. Goodnight all. Kisses.
I’ve been to Atlantic City, and, I just loved Ft Dix for Basic Training…! I suppose there might still be some Joisy in moi…! ;-)
Sweet dreams, Christine…!
Here’s an oddity: Sept. 23 is long known as a date of maximum something-or-other in the jazz and blues world.
Born on September 23:
Bruce Springsteen
Mighty Joe Young
Frank Foster
Les McCann
Norma Whinstone
Ani DiFranco
Ray Charles
John Coltrane
Afternoon dj here gave several others, blue-chippers all, whom I can’t remember. It’s almost enough to explain why some people bet.
told this at the time but tuff shit, feel like doing it again— when i saw Bruce in TCB a couple years ago Roger McGuinn showed up for the encore
This Land Is Your Land…
Aloha, prostratedragon…! It’s also the cusp between Virgos and Libras…! ;-)
gotta hit the hay, man
a pleasure as always
but CT, THANKS for all the Bruce (and the E Street Band– never forget them)!!! He da man!!!
Pleasant dreams, BFL…!
Hippo Birdies, Ani DiFranco…!
Some more Joisy love… Hackensack…!

R.I.P. Clarence Clemons…
Shackled & Drawn…

[Video] “NYPD Taru Zuccotti Raid Footage“
Aloha, mzchief…! No Surrender…

I shall bid ya’ll another fond adieu…! Mahalo for the great company tonite…!
Aloha Oe…! *g*
Niters. Sleep well!
He closed the show Saturday night with Twist n Shout. His mom, Patti’s mom, his older sister and Steve’s wife brought him out a guitar shaped birthday cake and everybody sang him happy birthday just before that. (We’d already sung it at midnight, but this time the band played it too.) His mom and Patti’s mom actually sang along with the band for that last song, and they were dancing together. Adorable.
OTOH I am never going to understand sticking “Rocky Ground” between Thunder Road and Born to Run. Rocky Ground is pretty far down on the list, and even if it was a better song, you don’t stick ANYTHING between Thunder Road and Born to Run.
