Well, if Red Rocks was his 2nd night, that’s probably true.

The lab was very hopped up about the break-in in TN. . .so they over-amped their response, but the police in Los Alamos were very cool, much better than in ABQ, so the arrests were essentially uneventful. I was out of my cuffs on my own, and answering my phone/making calls as we waited for booking. Of course, I did not let them see me out of the cuffs, and I slipped them back on before they came to cut them off. But they never took our stuff or bothered with telling me I could not use my phone, so I called our lawyer while we were sitting there. I asked them if they would give us a ride back to the demonstration (they were LOL), but we were told we could not go back there as a condition of our release.

Nice cops, that’s the bottom line. These guys did not care to hurt and humiliate us, nothing to do with me.

(un)Occupy family was awesome, can’t say enough about the love with those peeps. That’s the other saving grace, having solidarity with the community.

Just wondering about the cuff thing because i have the RNC later this month. Hey, what weight tie wraps do they use? Maybe if push comes to shove, I can humanely cuff myself, although I have no plans on getting arrested.

CT, not sure getting arrested is really a goal. It has many bad elements and lots that can go wrong.

tuezday, the cuffs have been different both times for me. I understand the old fashioned metal ones really bite, but the narrow and tight ones I had in ABQ were not good. In general, I would avoid cuffs, if given a choice.

What I was thinking is that if I found myself blocked in and facing arrest, which is not my goal, if I had some tie wraps of my own I could put on, and somehow blend in with those already tie wrapped, would the cops know the difference.

All my Direct Actions, as to my Occupy, or otherwise, does take into fact my own desire for ‘wrist preservation,’ tuez…! ;-)

I guess it would depend on how much chaos there is. Seems like they generally take people away one at a time. I was the first today, and it was very orderly, but we were mostly women over 50, and only 6 of us. But you could just put your hands behind your back and maybe they would not notice. They cuff you and take you off immediately is how it has gone from my experience. But I have seen some live streaming of them lining people up sitting on the curb by the dozens, so I suppose it all depends on how many people are around and what else is going on.

Today was a frustrating day. Booked someone for a big radio show, they I was told they didn’t
Think they should do it, it would reveal their strategy. I’m pissed. I don’t think they appreciate what an opportunity I gave them and why they blew it. I think part of it is that they were listening to a lawyer who had, credentials as of mine don’t count.
Maybe if they were paying me they would respect me more.
