Muppet Monsters — The Ugly Song, from episode 203 of The Muppet Show.
What’s on your mind?
*heh* My personal Anthem…! Aloha, Suz and lln pups…! ;-)
aloha tut — how’s paradise tonight?
tis 77 right now. got up to 90 here today and the house only got up to 80. not bad for no a/c. tomorrow’s gonna be the real test tho — high 90′s and maybe triple digits in the forecast
I’m doing a drive by.
I don’t think there are many people ugly on the outside. The inside, however…
hey tuez — it seemed like a good follow up to the video i posted in june — i feel pretty. i agree with ya about the ugly on the inside… how’s florida tonight?
That was a fugly zed wasn’t it…? ;-)
Not too shabby weather-wise here, I caught some serious Vitamin D on my trip earlier to cash my check from Wednesday nite’s grueling work…! I only had to head outside for an hour, and racked up 15 hrs of pay…! Ka-ching…! ;-)
it was :) no rain today?
Hey Suz, how’s the life w/Token? Fates maybe took a turn for the better this week.
Some early morning showers and then some evening showers shortly after Sunset…! Keeping it cool for the evening…! ;-)
hey bg — life with token is fine, sweet and fine — how did the fates turn for the better for ya?
Do tell, bg…! I always appreciate good news…! ;-)
Good evening, Suz; I saw on the weather this morning that the northwest was going to be in the high 80′s today, finally getting some summer-like temps there! Good evening, CT, bgrothus amd lln pups.
hey past — how’s utah tonight? its heating up for the first time all year. supposed to be 88 at the coast so its gonna be a scorcher inland.
But, everything is byootiful, in its own way….
hey mikey — how’s the city tonight? here’s ray
Cool & foggy. Just imagine. Loving the cool.
*le sigh* i do miss those cool foggy nights – such great sleeping weather
my friend dana is coming down from seattle and she’s gonna take me up to the volcano sunday. said she is also bringing me some pretty rocks to add to my collection on the kitchen window. she brought me some gorgeous ones when she visited shortly after i broke the leg
As of a little while ago, it’s a warm evening, still about 80 or so. A big, beautiful full moon came up over the mountains tonight.
Must be summer, not many comments. My feet hurt.
Ooh, I’m looking forward to the pics of ya’lls ‘finds’…! ;-) It’s cool to scrounge for rocks with a Geologist…! ;-)
i love watching the moon rise and thoroughly enjoyed watching the moonsets when i was living on the coast. some nights it was so bright that i could easily see when token went out to save a tree.
hey that guy — how ya doing tonight? lotsa folks watching the olympics – i know i am.
she’s a geo-blogger and a lay-geologist. i’ve learned more about geology from her than anyone else. she knows that i’m not gonna be able to do much walking around but its my first for fun trip. until now, i had been pretty limited to just docs, pt, and trips to the store.
Mahalo again pastfedup for all ya’lls efforts…! *g*
Oh, I love the volcano, how exciting. Have a great time!
As for the fates, it just seems like everything has been so hard, and it seems like all the struggle has shifted slightly. I’m picking tomatoes alla sudden, the squash bugs seem to be letting up. It’s been a hot week, weatherwise. I was productive a bit with the estate business this week, but by productive, that just means I moved the probate slightly. I’m planning to go to jail again, on Monday. With the no nukes people.
i’ve not been before so i’m real excited! does going to jail cause any problems with the results of the last time ya went to jail?
I’m listening to the radio. Been on a radio kick lately, Giants games, central valley farm reports, news, spanish-language music. I got a little transistor radio to keep next to my desk and I love it. I also listen to weather radio on a different unit and Australian radio on shortwave at night.
My BG is still getting better but I’m finding breaking below a BG level of 90 is difficult. Cider vinegar will lower your BG. I do a shot, just like tequila, just slam it and chase it with lemon water. Lowers my BG 20-40 points.
i’ve heard apple cider vinegar has lotsa health benefits. that’s an impressive drop. at what point is a bg number too low?
I’m planning to go to jail again, on Monday. With the no nukes people.
I salute ya, bg, what a noble effort, ya’ll are almost at ground zero of our Nuke Program…! *g*
thank you; and likewise to you, my friend. Been flipping back and forth from lln to eCAHN’s post about Syria, very informative. I don’t know enough about Syria and its history to make an informed or intelligent comment, but you have such a vast knowledge of the ME.
Well, the no nukes event is in Los Alamos, so a different county. I don’t think it will be a big deal. I met with the CFO there to talk about some of the property we have, and I told him I might be getting a look at their jail facilities. . .they know my father’s history w/all that, so I guess they will be OK if I follow in that path. I tried to do it w/a sense of humor, we had a good visit, mostly I hope it won’t do anything negative for my business with them. A lot of disparate elements.
lol, save a tree. I like that perspective!
*whew* you gonna do a diary about it? i sure would love to read (and recommend and tweet) it
…you have such a vast knowledge of the ME.
I really wish I did, past, but, I do know enough to call bs, bs…! ;-)
when we living in a temperate rain forest in the santa cruz mts, he was bound and determined to save every redwood tree he encountered. he’s continued the tradition up here in oregon but no longer limits himself to just one type of tree
We’ll see what happens. Maybe I’ll write about it. A creepy thing that I learned yesterday is that one of the people that got snagged in that FBI raid in Portland was from here, visiting there. It creeps me out, seems very strange, connection close to me. That is another thing I need to find out about. Kevin wrote about it again today. I don’t know what to think.
Wouldn’t he tucker out after making one round, around a Redwood, Suz…! ;-)
i fear the gov’t has its tentacles far deeper than folks are aware of.
hehehehe those fairy rings presented quite the challenge to the little guy
This kind of stuff makes me think that, for sure. That and our movement is very fluid, but I don’t take it lightly, too odd.
FOIAs need to be made from us, directed at all the JTTFs, on all their recent activities…! 8-(
*heh* Bonus points even…! ;-)
i think occupy sorta took them by surprise. now they’ve had almost a year to strategize a response that is more than just the whack a mole response they initially did
Yep. I am going to try to get on it, the story is way like THD’s, which is too weird for coinkydink.
I have not watched much of the Olympics, but these people have the most lovely skin and bodies, lordy!
i keep the volume muted or way way low — the nbc announcers are a gabby bunch
I don’t listen either, nbc has gotten a lot of bad press.
— the nbc announcers are a gabby sh*tty bunch…
Edited for clarity…!
well deserved… tis horrible coverage
they remind me of the talking heads on the sunday shows.. more interested n showing off their knowledge of trivia than the actual event going on
Regis Philbin would do a much better job than anyone of that sorry lot of ill-informed morons…! 8-(
it really is sad. we are only permitted to see the corporatized, edited, sanitized version of the games they want us to see
Well, the athletes are mostly impressive, except the ones who have to act like asses. There seem to be more of those with the twitter and such.
agreed. Lotsa words, not much substance.
i’m only interested in the swimming, diving, and gymnastics competitions — i try to ignore the chatteratti and focus on the competitions. lots less head ‘ploding that way
So Suz, didja end up driving yourself to get Token? I missed that part of the story.
i did and it went well. visited with marie for about an hour which helped with the leg. i’m not sure i would be up to a quick turn-around yet — was a long day but totally worth it. tis great to have my little guy back again
am starting to fade peeps. thanks for letting me spend part of your evening with ya
hope to see ya tomorrow night for cartoons. g’nite all
Sweet dreams, Suz…!
g’night, Suz, my computer acting up, see y’all later!
Aloha, wigwam…! Always a pleasure to see ya…! ;-)
g’nite, Suz, sweet dreams. good nite, bgrothus.
Best of luck, bg…! *g*
Think I’ll sign off too, CT. Later, man.
Hey CT. Are you up top this evening?
Not tonite, but I’ll be up there officially tonite now, wigwam…! ;-)
Pleasant dreams, past…! I just had to do a few errands before my beddy-bye…! ;-)
I, that am rudely stamp’d, and want love’s majesty
To strut before a wanton ambling nymph;
I, that am curtail’d of this fair proportion,
Cheated of feature by dissembling nature,
Deformed, unfinish’d, sent before my time
Into this breathing world, scarce half made up,
And that so lamely and unfashionable
That dogs bark at me as I halt by them;
Why, I, in this weak piping time of peace,
Have no delight to pass away the time,
Unless to spy my shadow in the sun
And descant on mine own deformity.
Good morning, pups. We have Blow, Nocera and Collins today. Mr. Blow looks at “The Curious Case of Chavis Carter” and says the case of a young man supposedly taking a gun and shooting himself in the head while handcuffed in the back of a police car truly “defies logic.” Mr. Nocera says “Frankenstein Takes Over the Market,” and that these runaway rapid-fire trading binges are getting out of hand. We had yet another this week! Ms. Collins, in “Congress Goes Postal,” says the House and Senate are on summer vacation. Let’s see what they accomplished before taking a five-week recess.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, the cold drinks are in the fridge, and I’ve got your favorite omelet for breakfast. There’s also some lime sorbet in the freezer, and that turned out so well I’m going to make another batch or two this weekend. Now it’s time to go and feed the cavalcade of kittens. Have a great day.
