He was advocating for everyone to disconnect from the Helco grid with solar panels…! He specifically noted that the cost of solar is cheaper than being connected…!

Getting ready for a hotbed of activity this coming week. ‘Know Your Rights training by ACLU today, and NVDA training today and again tomorrow, given by National Lawyers’ Guild and Peaceful Uprising. All in anticipation of our OccupySLC ‘Alec welcoming committee’ actions starting Monday against ALEC’s conference in Salt Lake.

Well, crap. A post just vanished; hit something by mistake and fdl page disappeared and I was at Google homepage. (scratches head). Also the enter key isn’t working…often true here at fdl only lately. Any idea why? I dunno. Just downloaded Firefox again..had been too lazy to get around to it since getting the new laptop. [new paragraph] I drove 500 miles or so this week; short notice trip on Wed, return Thurs. It’s a lot for an old woman with neck damage. Recuperating; I slept til after 1:00 pm today. Didn’t really get anything done til evening. [new paragraph] Glad to see you’re continuing to dive. Those toes’ll be pointing together in no time.

That was a great game…! I liked the fact that the ‘Flying Hawaiian’ got his 1,000th hit…! A first for any Hawaiian born MLBer’s…! ;-)

Don’t know. They’ve mostly been pretty cool with Occupy unless we obstruct traffic, but who knows, our local ALEC legislators may have put the bug in the mayor’s ear to be more restrictive. will know more on Monday evening, when we have a ‘parade of empty plates’ around the hotel while ALEC board members are dining that evening. We have a ‘free expression’ permit to convene at the city grounds which is kitty-corner from the hotel, but once we parade around the hotel, we’ll get an idea if there is going to be a police response.
