hey loohoo — how’s palm springs tonight? i’m still on drugs but am doing better. still get tired real easy — i did some needed errands today and took a 3 hour nap when i got home. was plum tuckered out. but each day i’m stronger and able to do a wee bit more.

Things are good here, but too much rain and more on the way. I built an ark a couple weeks ago and have put it to good use.

i’m sorta moved in and have met a few neighbors — nice people and my new lawn guy is one of my neighbor’s grandsons. i have fewer boxes in the living room and have been doing a load of laundry or two a day this week — slowly getting things organized so that i can get the pod delivered and really move all my stuff it. gonna be interesting going through the stuff that was packed almost 4 years aago

We have more than made up for our rain “deficit” the past 3 weeks and there is that tropical depression forming in the Gulf. We don’t need it. Anybody want it?

i took the car in and got it all lubed up — it had sat for 4 months and figured it was in need of some tlc — guy said it was actually in really good shape — was a little low on oil and i’ve got some belts that will be need replacing (and got a referral for a mechanic)

i’m dreading going through it — stuff from a 1080 sq ft house that needs to go into a 550 sq ft house and a 130 sq ft outbuilding… i know that i’m gonna be pissed that i packed so much ‘junk’ that i shudda just gotten rid of

The problem is, you no longer have a junk room. We all need a junk room.

if i had found a 2 bedroom, i wudda used that extra bedroom as my junk room for unpacking. i’m hoping to get a lotta junk in the outbuilding but fear once its in there, it will be outta sight outta mind.

That’s the whole point of a junk room, out a sight, out a mind. Until that one day 10 years from now when you say, “hey, I need that”. Or you move and say, “what the fuck did I keep that for?”

until i get that phone call saying my mom is coming up for a visit and the mad scramble is on to get the junk room presentable *laughing*

nice work, man, you are unstoppable! Several years ago when Cheney was in town for a visit, I put up a couple signs, one on an overpass and one on the side of a freeway. The one on the overpass stayed just over a day, the other one stayed a couple weeks. Don’t have a pic, but it said “Impeach Bush, Take Cheney Hunting. Problem Solved”

I was thinking chalk. It’s the rainy season anyway, so will have to get redone regularly.

Aww, shucks. I’ve gotten so used to it I barely even think about it – but once I’ve got the car filled, then each signposting becomes like a little ninja mission: get the sign up and photos taken with the least amount of time and effort, hop back in the car and speed away laughing…

hey revbev — so good to see your fonts :) thank you so very much for your kind words — i’m settling and mending, albeit slower than i would like, but i’m not going to complain too loudly.

am off the morphine and other heavy pain meds and am starting to feel like my brain is returning from lala land :) one of these days (or nights) we *will* be on the same thread at the same time!
