Amen, SD.
Namaste, SD…!
UT veterinary school sucks bigtime, almost killed poor Bazzie ,if mom didnt rush him out of there in a Hurricane no less….and taking any living animal(humans too) to war is attempted MURDER..the end
Yes, amen, SD…
Indeed, SD.
This is a “holiday” that always makes me angry. It has become about days at the beach, cooking out, drinking and don’t forget the SALES! There are parents and other loved ones who are grieving all over the country and I don’t have any idea how to let them know that I care about the sacrifice they made. Couldn’t we have just one day to honor those who have died?
What a nice thought…and I love the picture. Thanks, SD.
War kills and that is just wrong..
Todos los doggies are in complete agreement.
Dogs don’t make war, people do.
8,000,000 horses killed in WW1
all the great Xitians forget gods commandments
i wonder if there are 8 million horses left in the world?
horses and dogs are notoriously loyal, human beings not so much
My father was a freedom fighter in Denmark. This is what you call total war. He hated war monuments. All they told him was, they died for your country, why didn’t you. I tend to agree with him. There is too much glorification of war now. Let us try glorifying peace. Let us try glorifying the love of our fellow man (woman). Let us try to remove hate and bigotry from our vocabularies. As our oldest daughter put it,”let us try love of others”.
Christ tried that stuff, look what they did to him…man is too flawed an animal im afraid,7000 years of culture has not improved him 1 iota,in fact i think we are getting worse
oh and good on your dad,my dad was a medic/doc,and was horrified by the carnage
Such a terrible waste.
Two English Idylls by the young composer George Butterworth, killed by a sniper at the Somme.
good nite all, time to hug the critters, and pray for a better tomorrow
‘night, sadly. Amen to that.
Not being a pet owner I’m surprisingly moved by this. Who’s a good dog? You doggies, yes you are.
I, too, am moved by the memorial…..because it reminds me that the humans who are driving these wars care not one whit for the humans and animals who are crushed under the boot and fire of the Powers That Be. There should be a special memorial for all the children who have been killed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Pakistan, Yemen, and on and on………… just children. Suffer the children…..and so forth.
A random series of synapses fired, and I found the performance below, I was there. It was when I was deciding how to define myself as I turned 18 with the SSS. Two days later, I informed my Board that I was a C.O.
To credit Phil. or to blame him, is wrong. BUT, he made a young man think, and take a stand,
