Canned Heat — Move On Down The Road, Bremen, Germany, January 31, 1970.
What’s on your mind?
Hi Suz!
This is great!
YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Terrible day but I have rum.
hey newton — glad ya like it. how ya doing tonight?
Aloha, Suz and lln pups…! What a killah clip, Suz…!
aloha tut — how’s paradise? wish they didn’t have the closing credits scrolling over it… and that it lasted longer ’cause ya know it did
I saw something both inspiring and terribly sad today.
An orthopedic center full of, I’m assuming military personal, all double amputees. They were cruising around pretty good. I just instinctively knew how they got there. But didn’t get a chance to ask.
hey that guy — thank goodness for rum. still raining down there?
I used to have a shirt like the lead guitarist is wearing; and I thought it was so, uh, groovy.
Checking in. Is everyone well? Suzanne…. good sleep last night? I certainly hope so.
hey tuez — how’s floriday tonight?
hag! i used to date a guy who had a shirt like that … how ya doing tonight?
Hey, Dear Cocktailhag, I was just going to report what a fine time we all had down below on your post.
hey dearie — how’s the south central ca coast tonight? raining like a mofo here… all day and not forecast to stop for a few more days. the upping of my pain meds is helping and no more nightmares… thank goodness *knocking on wood*
Floriday is fine. How is you?
Not right now. It was three years ago Brat came down with lymphoma and it’s just hit me very hard, all the kitties we’ve lost in the past three years.
Any CE sightings yet…? When I woke up this morning there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and MK and ML were absolutely gorgeous…!
i’ve been better and i’ve been worse…. just another day just like the ones before it… they all run together. i spent half of today thinking it was friday and almost ran a muppets video
Quiet down here on my coast. Overcast. But I haven’t had to run my watering system for a couple of weeks, and that’s good. Little Twin had tonsillectomy yesterday and did great. What fine little boys my daughter and her husband are raising. Makes me happy.
Tonight is good.
I have a successful hardware test, and with that a ‘prospective’ profitable closure to a real screw-up that Seagate (hard disk division) put my client through. This is the fourth drive they have shipped, and this is the first one that would mount.
How’s it up there?
dang, has it been three years? i know how much you loved him and how much his crossing the rainbow bridge hurt. thank goodness you have the orange kittahs now
i’ve not been at the lake until hag’s post went up and then was only back and forth … i’ve not seen her but i’m not the best person to ask
yikes — wet but at least its not snowing. i like looking at the snow but it sure fucks up traffic and is forking cold
how’s the little guy feeling today?
I like when my hard drives mount…..ooops,….been hanging out with hag…lost my manners there for a moment. All is well.
Speaking of tweets, over half of my lists of tweets are retweets from you…! Dang, Girl, you are active on twitter…! ;-)
I’m just happy we’ve moved on from floppies…
keeps me from going insane while confined to this blasted hospital bed dood…. unfollow me if i’m tweeting too much
He’s doing great. The doctor wouldn’t do tonsillectomies on both boys in the same day since so many kids apparently have a great deal of trouble. Both boys just kind of breezed through. Blessings.
floppies are not a good thing and i always have to remember not to point and laugh
Hells no…! Ya tweet some great sh*t…! ;-)
yup! you make me laugh. thanks!
blessings indeed. grandbabies are such precious babes… makes all the troubles with their parent growing up sorta worth it
*whew* kewl — glad ya like them… i follow some really interesting people who tweet good shit
how cool — rachel maddow on the daily show tonight! i’ve not seen her show since before i fell. i only have control over the teevee machine late at night
Yes………and then they turn 15~
Hi Dearie :-)
No wonder you’re consulting, they get rather flaccid with age. Even I have empathy. The pillow know the truth. hehehehe
hey, newton, how are you doing tonight? Are you getting precipitation? It seems to have fallen off down here. I just need some sunshine!
oy — those teen years are forking rough.. but then they hit their 20′s and i could start to breathe again
maybe that’s why i’m a consultant.. i forget to not laugh and point and laugh some more
We’re getting it on and off. This weather (this week) reminds me of what we used to call ‘Fall’ around here (used to as in, before Al Gore got fat): it rains in 20 minute spurts at 2 or 3 random times of day, as if it’s trying to find a season but can’t decide.
Maybe that is what the war on women is all about. We retain the will and the means…
They’re just mad.
That’s summer on the east coast.
now if we could just get a sex strike going until these assholes get their act together and stop acting like assholes
It’s crazy time, for sure…..damn that Al Gore! Every time I hear about sea level rising I kind of laugh. I’m at 19 feet….. It will be some time before I’m actually beach front. But, then, then! My house will be worth a fortune! You gotta laugh. (And I still wish they would take down the friggin’ sign at the end of my street that screams “This Is A Tsunami Zone. Run.”)
Check.
No, a pregnancy strike would be better, as it would hit the PTB in the pocketbook. I’ve said this before, for a year, no one have any kids, unless their clock is runny out or some such. Just no fodder for a year.
I’m having a serious problem spelling tonight.
no sex means no pregnancies….
Oxnard, isn’t it?
I had friends who lived a short walk from the beach there (it must be 10 feet of elevation in that neighborhood), who told me that a German sub ‘visited’ their shore after the ‘War’ broke out.
But no sex only pisses off your partner, and frustrates yourself. No pregnancies, is the mother of all strikes. The rubes aren’t producing future victims.
wasn’t there a john candy (?) movie about that… or was it a japanese sub?
thank goodness for built-in spell check in firefox :) otherwise i would be making more typos than lisa does
all those duggar types who ‘let god control how many pregnancies they have’ will still be breeding
I wasn’t there.
Oxnard is, except for the evening when my friend and I moved him out of the rented home he was living in (before the Sheriff’s did it for him), and his quite possibly fictional story about the German sub, utterly foreign to me.
Yes. A fascinating big city of almost 200k people .. about 67% hispanic… NYTimes calls our beach area “the next Malibu”…. cute, huh? I live near strawberry/celery/cilantro/raspberry fields. I come from agriculture in my historical background and just love the fields. And we are far enough off the 101 that our beaches are mostly empty but for the locals. Divine.
i was thinking of 1941
But there aren’t that many Dugger types and they are still only good for 1 a year. Think about just 1 million women saying no. 20 years later, that’s potentially 1 million less paying $35 in overdraft fees, taking out credit cards, going to college, etc. It adds up.
i still think a sex strike is the way to go…. of course since i’m just a consultant …
Hiya Suzzzz – firegods
The Belushi/Spielberg picture – I am ashamed to say that I never saw it.
hey ppd — how ya doing tonight?
*gasp*
Baby Van is wooooonnnnndddddderful!
hey, tuez, dare I ask? how’s the non-smoking going?
Hi marymac!
Senator, I do believe you are about to pop.
How’s Mom?
hey grandma! how ya doing?
Sara is doing really well when you consider she had major surgery and a baby.
good thanks, Suzzz — how are the knees doin’ tonight?
Well, I’ve only smoked 2 packs all week. The last one in the past 24 hours.
hanging head in shame
On edit: thank you for asking, I need encouragement.
both are cranky.. its been raining and all that damp cold and them don’t get along….
no hanging your head in shame. if at first you don’t succeed, try try try again
All best vibes, girlio.
No shame. Just go at it again. It’s all about habit. Do something different! Play with life.
loohoo! how ya been? how’s life in palm springs? my mom and step dad loved it there
Is Sara home now? And tell more about baby!
You’d think not being able to breathe would be enough, but no…
Suzanne–you had to pull up Bob Hite, eh?
An old friend spent time with him in Laurel Canyon.
Check out the “back-up” guitars.

Out of curiosity, is anyone a water buffalo?
glackin — you talking about peter green?
are you talking about the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos?
Loving it here so far, Suz &Co! Just worried about you. What a pain in the ass.
6 weeks down and 6 weeks to go — yesterday was the halfway point. i see the doc again on 4/4, the pt lady comes on 4/5 and the nurse to check on my pressure sore on 4/6. the nurse said that will probably be her last visit since the sore is healing well and has not opened up etc.
MaryMac!!! Best Congratulations! Wow.
Ok, good.
ok peeps, that nightime double dose of pain meds has kicked in and its time for me go not be typing anymore tonight.
thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight — hope to see ya tomorrow night for muppets
g’nite all

Green and Mick Taylor. Peter was in the original Fleetwood Mac, did “Albatross”. Harrison admitted he stole the riff for “Here comes the sun”
FM was Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Peter Green and Danny Kerwin. Try this

And Mick Taylor left Mayall to replace Brian Jones in the Rolling Stones, at about 18. He showed up for Beggars Banquet and Sticky Fingers.
BTW, I’m Joe. Live in the West–of Mass. Warren Country!
*popping back in for a wee bit*

*le poof*
May peace be with you. Seems you have some medical issues. Same here.Every day is another gift, ain’t it? Wish I’d learned that fifty years ago!
I plan to USE the rest of them.
Joe
Just popping in to say, “Oh,yeah. Those musicians were an Influence in my life!”. Great music.
