I’d asked CE what her favorite tune was earlier, and what a mighty fine tune indeed…! ;-)

I’d asked CE what her favorite tune was earlier, and what a mighty fine tune indeed…! ;-)
What’s on your mind tonite…?
Zed?
When did beating dead horses become an Olympic sport?
No Fitz…! ;-)
Aloha, Starbuck…! How’s the Pacific Northwest tonite…?
and how long does it go on?????
Aloha, tuez…! It seems to have attained Olympian proportions these daze, eh…? ;-)
So, CT, did you meet up with the divine Ms. CE? Did you have hugs and laughs?
It is taking everything I have to not start hitting the flag buttons. One more post…
At first I just thought we had a couple transition to a manic phase. Now I’m not so sure.
Aloha, Dearie…! Christine is a wonderful soul, and her friend Marsha too…! *g*
PNW is fine, I’m a bit under the weather.
Most definitely…! She sends her hugs and kisses to ya’ll too…! *g*
and I’m old enough and crotchety enough to be about ready to go kick some dead-horse-beater butt…..big time! Are there medals? And bouquets? And anthems? I do so hope so. :)~
And shiny trophies.
And, no doubt, the collect thanks of everyone else.
Okay Tut, where are the pics. We want pics.
Sorry to hear that Starbuck, is it a cold or flu…?
Actually, my foot. Seems like it’s taking a liking to Uric Acid crystals, otherwise known as the gout.
It’s truly amazing. Narcissism gone amok! I do hope that Jane is busy doing other things and isn’t paying attention to the various temper tantrums and feet stampings. Really something bizarre. Someone was actually….I am still stunned…..bellyaching that after a year and a half that person wasn’t getting the acclaim/attention/response that person felt that person deserved. Jeez!
I didn’t have a camera with batteries and she didn’t either, sorry…! 8-(
She got to meet the Better Half and even held the Munchkin…! ;-)
*ouch* That bites, Starbuck…!
Awww….how lucky that CE got to hold the munchkin. I want to hold the munchkin! I’ve been here since before the Libby trial….I deserve to hold the munchkin! *g* …………sorry, don’t mean to make trouble, just giggling to myself. I’m so glad, Tut, that you guys finally met up. So happy for all of you.
I’m having a hard time figuring out the point of these posts.
Someone eats too well :)
Christine asked me if I could play some Hawaiian music too…
Ku’u Home O Kahalu’u…
Glad you all had fun.
I don’t believe the dead battery thing for a second.
Come on over, M’dear…! ;-)
I cannot even drive a stick shift.
Crap! Oh, but maybe I should stop complaining.
So I’ll stop now. :)
evening, CT …. firegods
Isn’t it fairly easily controlled, even if you don’t behave?
Van William Boerum, Born March 25th, 7lbs 9ozs
That too. I’m on a cherry diet at this point. Cherry juice anyway. No cherries on the market yet.
Purely, I think, narcissistic self soothing. I’ve never seen anything like it. I certainly thought it would cool off and am astounded that it’s still going on. I dropped a “quit the navel gazing/get a life” missive into the end
of one of the latest screeds. Probably just stirred the pot.
Wish you and I could go out and share a bottle of wine and some laughs!
It is, once it is back under control.
Congrats Mary and mom and dad. Beautiful little gentleman.
I kid you not…! I was pissed when I’d tried to turn it on this morn and they were dead, and I was/am dead broke…! 8-(
Sadly, it poured all day, even for my Occupy Hilo sign waving…! But, despite all the rain we’d had, Christine said she wants to live here…! Go figure, eh…? ;-)
I am going to see them on Wednesday.
Aloha, PPD…!
I think we could have a grand old time, especially if we could eat and drink our way through CA wine and cheese country.
What a blast.
Congratulations, Grandma! A big healthy baby boy. Lovely! How’s your daughter doing? And pick your name now. I started with “Gammy” which devolved into “Grammy” but my babyboys are calling me “Grandma” except when Marco gets experimental and calls me “Diane.” They are all such a hoot. Grandmommying is a joy.
Woo Hoo…! Congrats, mary and to the family…! 8-)
I would rather do Tahiti or some such. Hawaii too much Americanized.
But wait! Tahiti has been Frenched!
Well the rain is better than snow..
First one, Mary?
So cherries return the body’s pH to normal, or whatever is out of whack, back to normal? Didn’t know that.
!!!! Same birthday as Elton John and Aretha Franklin.
Hey CT. Did you see the story about James Cameron going deep into the Marianas Trench? Solo?
*heh* There’s snow up top MK tonite tho…! ;-)
Aloha, Kelly…! How’s the Front Range tonite…?
Cherries, bananas, lime juice, Apple cider vinegar, you name it.
Did you see CE & Mr. CE on their visit to paradise, CT?
hey guys! so here’s me, right?…… healthcare, right? we have 3 days of oral arguments in the supreme court.. enormously complicated (at least we’ve made it so)legal issues. equally complicated social and political issue. so THANK GOD!!! i’m flippin’ through the channels and there, on Fox News, is Sarah Palin herself, explaining it all to me. Jeez. Even her BFF, greta was a little befuddled. What. A. Fuckin’. Idiot. This woman is still a player?
I’d heard he was doing some more deepwater sub expeditions, didn’t know it was the deepest hole, tho…! ;-)
Hot. Blowing dust today. Just bizarre. We wish for snow now, plz.
My sister suggested Mimi cause of my initials.
yep.
Everything but wine, cheese, butter, steak, milk, chocolate, etc. I feel for ya.
The Mr didn’t come over, but, I’d met her friend Marsha that accompanied her…! ;-)
Congrats, Mary. I have 5 grand kids, 1 great and one great on the way.
Palin is carrying on the Dubya tradition — committed to spreading ignorance and disinformation to people who are both ignorant & disinformed, and damn proud of it.
My other daughter is pregnant. :)
Do what I do, block Fox news on the remote. Can’t even accidentally view her. No attention, no Sarah. Like a troll, don’t feed.
I do like cherries.
Did they occupy Hilo with ya?
Oh, I like that! That works wonderfully. I’m going with GG with my step-great-grandson. I don’t think he has any other great grandparents, so there won’t be any jockeying for names.
Aloha, BFL…! I was showing CE today my Alma Mater, the one Caribou Barbie couldn’t even handle a semester at…! ;-)
You are on the way, grandma!:)
Just don’t watch TV.
I gave her a Guy Fawkes mask, but, no they headed back before the sign waving started…! ;-)
I kinda like Netflix and here in central Florida, there’s always something..

Naturally…
My last foray into TV was yesterday, when we watched an early Preminger film: “Laura” You know the theme.
Aloha, sixgill…! Some cool Slim…!
Waimanalo Blues…
You just caused me heart failure.
You like it!
Well seeing my name in quotes when I thought I was anonymous…
Sshhh… you are anonymous…! ;-)
Okay guys, even though I couldn’t get a LLN stop smoking thing going, I’m quitting in the morning.
I thought about laser therapy, e-cigs, I’ve tried the others, I’m just gonna stop.
You can do it. It will be hard but you can do it.
Good on you! Just do it.
She WAS anonymous!
Have you seen the film, tuezday? Laura was one sharp lady!
Cold turkey, eh…? Best of luck, tuez…! *g*
Rest Of Your Life…
The first time I saw “Lawrence of Arabia”, I had the same feeling. Especially when the crowd began chanting his name.
You and I both know it’s the habit not the addiction.
Now we know Starbuck’s first name.
*heh* Touche even…! ;-)
Love and Honesty
No Ke Ano Ahiahi…
Well, a clue to my last name: when spoken it sounds like the spoken Latin word for justice which is “Judex”. In the Dies Irae in the Berlioz “Requiem, a point is reached, announced by a huge brass section, where the choir signs out, thunderously, JUDEX!
I almost fell out of my seat. I thought I should head for the door, get out of the hall, anything!
It actually scared me witless.
I hope you guys will stay on my ass over the next weeks.
Epsom Salt Baths are also helpful with Gout, get well my friend !
CT ! CE !
Congratulations so wonderful Mary! I have been studying the pelvis bones attachment/insertion muscles and the many functions including widening birth canal and for females the three hormones, then causing milk production so baby gets some nourishment and protective antibodies from mom. It has been enlightening what we take for granted is so complex.
At FM today more new babies and proud moms. So much fun.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up wisecracks …
Patch helped many.
Many thanks Petrocelli. I just read about Epsom Salts. I did the cherry treatment a year ago or so and it worked then. Silly me, I stopped once the pain subsided.
Aloha, Petro…! We’d mentioned you in our chat today, about how Toronto has been so warm these days, and how it’s snowing atop MK…! ;-)
Aloha, bb…! How’s your slice of Cali tonite…?
We hit 30 two days last week. The last 2 nights, we hit -11 … so took out the winter clothes again … *g*
-11 C or F?
I now have a dilemma. I can smoke as long as I stay awake.
Davd B is a classy performer with a great sense of humor. Saw him perform at a three day festival. About the time of Space Odessey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXo_gZtvC7E
I did the patch years ago and Zyban/Neutrino. Zyban worked until I started smoking over it. I just need to go cold turkey.
On edit: Zyban/Neutrino. WTF. I think an auto spell check just hiccuped.
It’s -4 up there right now…! ;-)
Wow, that kinda swing does suck tho…!
-11 C/ 12 F
So go to sleep!
I just remembered that Laura and Lawrence have the same root: Laurel. Seems that Lawrence means “Bearer of the Laurel leaf.
Congrats, Starbuck, on the 99…! Petro meant Celsius…!
Yep, people were in Shorts for 2 days, then back to Down-Filled Coats … *g*
Smoke the rest of your pack and then go to bed…! ;-)
Aloha, bb…! How’s your slice of Cali tonite…?
Bitchin’ as the surfers used to say, Had sun, a big Pineapple express South wind and large waves in the bay. I rowed 2600 meters to the sand spit, ran across to the Great Pacific over the dunes then came back for a wind assisted joyful row back to the pier. Very exhirating then Farmer’s Market!
Thanks. I assumed Celsius, but always check assumptions. Assume= Ass-U-Me!
That is very true…! ;-)
Rhythm of the Ocean…
Guess it’s time to wind down and say good night all.
I’s say get all the smoking paraphernalia…ashrays, lighter, cigarettes gathered put in a place with stories about cancer, lung diseases, a summary of the financial cost, lost ability to smell. Find some way to replace the hand to mouth habit…start yoga abdominal deep breathing when the urge hits. And reward yourself regularly. Also find out the stress that is causing the habit and fix that. Maybe some good reading on quitting like how and the benefits. Good luck may take a few tries.
Pleasant dreams, Starbuck…!
Best evah wave pic dude.
Great ideas, bb…! As I’m puffing on my cig…!
Sweet Lady Of Waiahole…
My sister a light smoker lifetime quit, gained weight has COPD and is confined to a nursing home bed. Not a great way to spend “Golden Years”. A friend has three stocks..one is Phillip Morris and is doing very well. Our lungs are essential organs for our health, complex to be sure but what a treasure.
What Hawaiian groups do you remember from your days here, bb…?
Hi all, hope everybody’s night is going good.
Oh, and for the lulz, A new magazine, with a cover that looks like a cross between a department store catalog and a Hitler Youth propaganda poster.
Oops, forgot the link.
Aloha, Hannibal…! Wow, teach’em young eh…? ‘Welcome to the Debt Paying Generation’ *gah*
wonderful!
Well, as I’m listening to the Rhythm Of The Falling Rain, I’m getting mighty sleepy…! I shall bid ya’ll another fond adieu…! Mahalo for the great conversations tonite…! Aloha Oe…! *g*
oh no!
Most of the Hawaiian songs seems to express gentleness to me. IZ was so good. Not much generally, had a free time share and just explored…it is a pretty mind blowing eco system to take in. Up the volcano in Maui. Had a trip to Waikiki and was stationed in Kaneohe USMC over the Pali. It is all pretty wonderful. We live on old dunes 50 million years old.
By the way the Senators Dairy of the ER showed some very impressive writing skills eh.
