Does anyone know how to design/built a website and quit smoking? Not necessarily at the same time. I’m fairly certain the website thing will require smoking just to keep sane while doing it.
Bee girlz are loving it. Pollen out the wazoo for babies which will produce many many workers for bringing more pollen and nectar into the hives. Only possible downside (environmentalists are pessimists, dontcha know) is possibility of extended freeze. I ain’t worried.
My husband is starting another biz. Of course, I have to do all the dirty work to get things in motion. He’s got an art degree and I’m designing a website, go figure.
Do you know what the deal is with the moderator removing the video of Sir Gerald Kauffman from TheCallUp’s thread currently up at myfdl? The mod threatened the commenter with permanent banning if he or she attempted to re-post, yet it is a video I’ve linked to at fdl before.
tis better that i not talk about it tut – the pt lady was here today with a gleam in her eye and list of exercises the doc said for me to do — all while laying in this bloody hospital bed.
to say i’m cranky and irritable would be an understatement…..
CT and Petro had super songs…Dirty Laundry and Hell no I’m not allright. The true American way has been awakened: so fuck the fascist pigs. Much obliged the hits just keep on coming.
Hey, ET, did TheCallUp or Maki contact the eds to find out where that sharp rebuke came from? That was one of the most hostile editorial comments I’ve ever read, and now, having seen the tape, I think someone just kind of overracted.
Here’s the long version. (Tap me with a feather & I’ll go on at unconscionable lengths about my bees.)
Around about January, Chris my bee keeper, started worrying (heh on the started part). Apparently if the outdoor temp is not below 40F for X days (X=3 or 4), girls must maintain hive scrum around queenie in 90s, otherwise 50s. 90s require they consume a LOT more stored honey than 50s). My hives met the taste/storage/nutrition test, and came out of the mild winter in full heath. Queens normally start laying in February, which also req hive temp in 90s regardless of outdoor temp.
My hives had enough stored honey to do the job. So much pollen, owing to warm weather (made into bee bread or baby food) that their little cargo pants can’t get it all into hives and I see yellow dots on rubber mats outside the hives.) Meaning more girls to gather pollen for more babies, and now nectar (maple trees in blossom) for mature teen-age girls to perp more of the same.
Three honeys invited me to their table by the bay (during Farmer’s Market) and played a bunch of songs all the way back to the Pasadena Icehouse. They are a local band. Beautiful weather then a stunning golden sunset. How sweet it is and seeing lots of friends at the market is always a pleasure, with kiddies galore.
Have to laugh. the PT is not your friend…..and you’ll be glad in the long run. Makes me think of my warning to all my deponents, “The defense attorney is not your friend.” At least the PT has your best interests at heart!
jujube got her ears pierced today — pic up on my f/b page… hard to believe she will be a year old on 4/9…. boy this year has gone by fast — except of course, the time spent on this forking hospital bed which has forking dragged by at a snail’s pace
Do you know how bees handle the rhythms of life in the tropics? Yours go into hibernation but what do those further south do to keep from wearing themselves out year round? Just out of curiosity.
Now I see it. I hadn’t seen that particular article but I’d seen others covering the same subject. Yes, it is scary. Have you all seen this wired article:
no green milk but she was wearing a green outfit with shamrocks on it for st paddy’s that her auntie stephanie got for her. iirc steph also got her the outfit in the pic from today
We had lots of bees around the market today busy getting pollen. I spoke with the honey guy says we may have a shortage this summer so I am getting seeds tomorrow for the bee flowers. Love em.
Yes, it do look like some BIG THINGS are being planned.
Everyone with whom I have spoken about this little “hint” asks the samne question, “Why would anyone want to do this?”
Why indeed?
What sort of people and for what sort of reasons?
One notes how very fortunate we all are that it is the lesser weevils, he Dems who are doing this … although, even if the worser weevils gain power, they ALL seem to be “looking forward” to some fun in the sun.
That there has been NO public discussion, NO attempt to explain either the purpose or the purpose or the meaning beyond the potential “threats” of scary bad zealots … ought to spark a wee bit discussion, it would seem.
This suggests nothing less than WW III is being contemplated …
That will surprise no one here, of course, but it should interest everyone with a “stake” in the future …
Apparently, there are, now, much more sophisticated listening devices than mere ears, tuezday, if one is moved by the lyrical waxing in certain “security” circles …
I’m not sure the immediate threat is WWIII, although I suspect it might be coming. I think the immediate threat is global warming. Think about it. BP trashed the gulf states. We have not had a major hurricane in six years. The government, aside from the idiot politicians, is preparing for global warming. I think the immediate threat is a major hurricane hitting the gulf states and the whole region getting cut off from aid, because no one will want to pay for it and BP made it a super fund site. Yes, I live here.
CTut, the casualty estimates of both American and Israeli “experts” is simple-minded idiocy and the “between the lines” military implications of that NYT article is absolutely mind-boggling.
They cited up to 200 american losses, when Gen. Van Riper in the ’02 Millenium Challenge had 20,000 americans…! Why the dramatic drop in casualties…? 8-(
I suspect both threats are closer to “consequent” and more imminent than the war-gaming, environment destroying “leadership” has a clue … and the cost to the world’s billions of human beings is going to escalate VERY rapidly.
I agree with your concerns of “abandonment”, tuezday.
Fours years ago, I traveled to New Orleans and saw the Ninth Ward and other “things”… I was appalled at the sense that government had simply closed its eyes, mind, and heart, and skipped blithely away … looking for better looting opportunitie$ … the political class, which includes the media, seems careless beyond rational and human measure.
What are they thinking, DW, when it’s clear that we’re all going to get fried by their behaviours? Where do they plan to spend the money they are tucking in their pants? How do they propose to protect their own children? The whole process of trashing the country, trashing the environment and trashing every other country on the planet is just beyond me. What in the hell are they thinking?
But I know that some of them actually have children…..can they not see….or is it that they will not see. It’s late and I hope I don’t get forever banned, but I’ve wondered what would happen if a few of the children of the MOTU were, shall we say, temporarily extracted from their fancy schools? I cannot believe that the populace is going to put up with this shit forever. EDIT: And while I do believe in pacifism, I cannot believe that some others who have been impoverished and ruined will be particularly pacific.
CT !
We hit 23C/74F today and will tease 30C/85F on Wednesday …
Aloha, Petro…! Sounds like Spring has sprung in the Great White North…!
I propose that tune as the national OWS anthem…! ;-)
We’re gonna go back to the teens by Friday, but we’ve broken some records for March already …
Hey CT.
Sleep routine in new disruption owing to boring stuff. But having a good time with good friends (real & virtual) so what could be wrong with that?
That does not bode well at all, all that thawing Permafrost/frozen Tundra will release massive amounts of methane and Co2…! 8-(
Does anyone know how to design/built a website and quit smoking? Not necessarily at the same time. I’m fairly certain the website thing will require smoking just to keep sane while doing it.
Aloha, eCAHN…! Always a pleasure to see ya here at lln…!
Sometimes Lightning Does Strikes Twice. Please help a fellow liberal blogger stave off eviction in 2 weeks.

Bee girlz are loving it. Pollen out the wazoo for babies which will produce many many workers for bringing more pollen and nectar into the hives. Only possible downside (environmentalists are pessimists, dontcha know) is possibility of extended freeze. I ain’t worried.
Mahalo, Suz…! ;-)
How’s your leg doing tonite…?
My husband is starting another biz. Of course, I have to do all the dirty work to get things in motion. He’s got an art degree and I’m designing a website, go figure.
I’m glad to hear the bees are so happy! I do love hearing about the bees.
Jumbo Margarita on the way, Suz !
Got some faux frozen margs. Didn’t start on the hard stuff until the clouds rolled in so saving the former for the next sunny cocktail hour.
Aloha, Dearie…! How’s your beach tonite…?
I love margarita’s but they give me indigestion. What else ya got?
Well, the winds died down, so there is that. But it was actually cold today… sunny, which I love, but cold.

The only possible explanation I could see is the Godwin’s Rule, other than that, I’m just as puzzled as ya’ll are…!
You have my sincere condolences, Suz…! I’d be cranky too…! *g*
she was so nice when she was ms help with mobility issues around the house…. *sigh*
CT and Petro had super songs…Dirty Laundry and Hell no I’m not allright. The true American way has been awakened: so fuck the fascist pigs. Much obliged the hits just keep on coming.
You have a right to be cranky and irritable.
If I were in your shoes…
Aloha, bb…! Happy to oblige…! ;-)
Here’s Nanci with Don McLean and Garth Brooks… American Pie…
The PT showed up … good news, indeed !
The days are counting down, Suz and I know well how taxing this is on one’s patience.
All these days will end and you will really enjoy driving around, walking, etc. Jujube is getting lots and lots of love this past month.

I just re-posted a link there to what I think the video was. And above, at this post. Doubt I will be banned over this, though.
I can’t seem to locate the pic, Suz…! 8-(
scroll down — tis the second post — right below where i’m bitching about the pt lady and how sore and grumpy i am
I can’t either, but I don’t do facebook.
Good evening, everyone.
CTut, I wonder if you have seen this?

It is far past my usual bedtime, yet I think this is worth a few minutes of every American citizen’s time to read.
The questions it must raise may take a bit longer to consider, ponder, and share.
As well, the implications this Presidential Order MUST engender a wee bit of thought … among those given to such a radical use of brain cells.

I got page not found.
Yes, the link does not work, for some reason.
Click the “Continue ”
Go to Huff Po and scroll down to Edwin Black’s article on the left side of the page, tuezday.
On edit: Link seems to work now.
DW
Aloha, DW…!
I hadn’t seen that specific article on that extremely scary EO, Obummer just signed, but, it’s even spookier than Darth/Shrub’s COG EO…! 8-(
try this link instead — i put it on a photo site
Fabulous!

DeeDub !
It’s the new AUMF … which this time means, A.ll Y.ou M.other F.uckers gonna be drafted for the next War !
Now let’s see if those calling for a Mid-East War will keep doing that.
Now I see it. I hadn’t seen that particular article but I’d seen others covering the same subject. Yes, it is scary. Have you all seen this wired article:

Its been making the rounds but I don’t think it’s hit FDL yet.
On edit: Which is kinda strange as FDL is usually out in front.
Haven’t a clue.
*heh* The Better Half just squealed ‘how cute’…! I agree with her…! ;-)
Gonna cash in my chips. Be well.
How cute.
Did she get green milk on St. Paddy’s day?
G’nite
Sweet dreams, eCAHN…!
no green milk but she was wearing a green outfit with shamrocks on it for st paddy’s that her auntie stephanie got for her. iirc steph also got her the outfit in the pic from today

It’s the outfit that made me think of it. Thought she might have been out slammin’ back a few green milks.
Storms…
