So maybe that’s why the current crop of Republicans are so intent on doing away with contraception… Mr. Cohen, in “#StopKONY Now!!!,” says a superficial movie about an African war criminal goes viral, and that on balance is a good thing. Mr. Nocera has a question: “Is MF Global Getting a Free Pass?” He says no prosecution at all in the case would send a terrible message to the rest of us. Mr. Bruni, in “One-Way Wantonness,” says Rush Limbaugh’s trash talk exposes a sexist double standard.

If we lived in a just world where political fights were conducted in a fair manner and being above the personal attacks gave you any chance to make a difference then the pearl-clutching worries that some on our side aren’t being very nice might sense.

As it is it just makes us look weak and unable to defend our own no matter how personally superior it may be to rise above the fray. the hallmarks of Holder’s dept of justice has been his willingness to slow walk all prosecutions for the big banks and big heavily connected politicians past their statute of limitations. He is perposely refusing to do the right thing in the Seligman case and couldnt get a very corrupt Sen Stevens convicted. No mf global prosecution, no 2008-9 financial fraud prosecutions, no war crime prosecutions…..But what did you expect from a partner in a lawfirm that has the RNC as a client.
