Johnny Cash and Roy Clark — Rock Island Line.
No Late Night tonight and Late Late Night is posting early due to coverage of the possible Occupy Syracuse eviction later tonight.
What’s on your mind?
Err..! Kinda early, eh, Suz…? ;-)
aloha tut — yup — early tonight due to the coverage of the threatened occupy syracuse eviction later
how’s paradise tonight?
*heh* The Sun ain’t even set yet…! ;-)
Another gorgeous day with evening showers about to cool us off…!
the man in black
Some tidbits from the PPP twitter (tweets … twitfeed … whatever the young people call it):
Could it be that the Santorum bubble has popped? … ahem …
Iowa to release certified results tomorrow. Mitt lost?
thank goodness it’s winter — i don’t know if i can do this while wearing sunglasses *laughing* i’m sure not used to that yellow thingie in the sky and it throws me for a loop when i see it
hey dave — how ya doing tonight?
SUZE!
First time I have been able to stay up late enough for Late Late Night in quite a while. ;-)
DR DICK! dood, how the hell ya been? been raising hell up there in montana?
Occupy Missoula was evicted, quite peacefully and largely without incident, yesterday morning. It was down to 3-6 campers at that point and a rift had developed between them and the GA over the weekend.
do ya think they will re-group in the spring?
Kicking ass and taking names. Getting ready to graduate my second Ph.D. the end of this semester. She should defend her dissertation here in a few weeks. She still needs to make a few revisions, but given her past performance she will have that done to perfection within the week. If nobody else does it this semester, I will have produced half of the Ph.D.s to graduate from the department.
sweet! well done dr dick, well done!
I kind of doubt it. The GA had largely come to the conclusion that the occupation was more of a distraction and that they would do better to focus their energies on other actions that might have a larger impact with less downside.
Congrats, Doc, on guiding them through. I’ve enjoyed how much you have enjoyed leading this young woman through the narrows. Inspiring! Let us know when she is launched.
i guess we are just gonna have to wait and see what happens. i think we are going to see occupy 2.0 once the weather starts to warm up and new occupations are gonna be popping up all over the place
hey dearie — how’s the so central ca coast tonight?
*heh* What is this ‘winter’ that you speak of…? ;-)
I wear my sunglasses at night…
roy and gatemouth
I love being by the Pacific Ocean….it’s always good. Had a deposition today that was wonderful. I’d like to hire the applicant to sub in for all future clients. She was so straightforward, so honest, so humble. Defense attorney was a good young one.
Then went to lunch with my dad.
A fine day!
*laughing* cheaps the way to go dood
i love it too. it was gnarly after i went to bed last night but hey, that was after i went to bed :) not so hot in the summer and not as cold in the winter.
yesterday
Savannah Morning News
EDIT: Ron Paul is in third place with 15 percent, followed by Rick Santorum’s 11 and Rick Perry’s 3.
The fat lady has not yet sung.
there’s still folks looking for their not-mitt candidate
So what’s up with the early/late? It’s a strange night. NCIS is new on Wednesday. And I checked out TBogg’s blackout and it screwed up my computer… lost my bottom bar and can’t seem to get it back. Shoot. I am one of those oldies who does not do change well! “:(
Dayam skippy, especially when one’s on a Low Budget…! ;-)
there’s gonna be a post going up tonight covering the possible eviction of occupy syracuse so i got bumped to the late night slot so that eviction post will be up top on the front page during the night
dearie, are you on firefox? if so, i can get your bottom bar back on your browser
Maybe the 7-9 inches of snow we got here today.
cheap thrills
My dad (94) is a life long Republican. He and I had some good laughs about the Republican Goat Rodeo. He hadn’t heard about Santorum’s lovely bride having had a long term live-in with the doctor who delivered her. We had some laughs about how Santorum is a CatholicEvangelical. We couldn’t figure how we’d never heard of such. The world is spinning, I’m telling you!
more’s headed your way — i heard seattle got hammered again today. it turned to rain in oregon and is washing away all the wet snow that fell last night
yep, firefox. Help, help! Where did it go…..and what time is it???? *g*
Hey you west coasters, afraid of extreme weather?
Suz, you must be south of the reported storms.
Heh heh! Love this.
i’m sure we will find out even more about sanotorum and newt until the goat decides who is leading the circus and then the dirt will really start flying about the two candidates for the general
right click on your top toolbar and click the ‘add-on bar’.. that’s what they call the bottom bar.
took me forever to figure that one out
I suppose Adelson’s money will still shine thru for Newt, eh…?
hey ecahn — how was your day? the storm hit hard south of me and north of me but i skated with winds sustained in the 30′s. haven’t checked to see how high the gusts were locally yet
hey ce — how’s cleveland tonight?
Oh, yeah. Snow in the forecast as far as the eye can see, with perhaps more than another foot of the stuff.
Aloha, M’dear…! I’m still awaiting your email…! Would love to chat with ya about your impending visit here…! *g*
dearie if its your bottom windows bar that you are missing — then its probably accidently ‘hidden’ and if you hover your mouse over where it is supposed to be, it may show up. you have to adjust your toolbar properties and ‘lock your toolbar’
tis rain in our forecast.. lots of it. got more than 2 and 1/2 inches of liquid sunshine so far just today.
I’m working on it. Thanks!
Sunny but windy. Temps around 30, but as house is drafty, lotsa furnace activity. Colder now, but wind has died down, so furnace much less active. Precip in forecast. So far, I haven’t had to pay for plowing, so that is a plus.
if ya hit that window icon on your keyboard it should bring up your start menu
18 degrees, fooling around with snow flurries, and clear and starry skies.
i’m going through logs at a faster rate than i was last month. the heat by wood equivalent of a higher utility bill
those bright starry winter nights are so forking pretty — but that’s way too cold to stand outside looking at them
Left you a reply down-blog, guessing the Alpha Psychic was also a proficient time-traveler. Turns out it’s Suzanne who’s the time-traveler.
johnny does elvis
It’s winter? Flocks of robins were here yesterday probably on their way north to Virginia for a sleepover.
Something really weird about my wood stove. Went thru much less fire wood in Dec despite colder temps than Oct or Nov. Ain’t complaining, to be sure, but it is a mystery. May have to do with wood stove being installed and taking time to break in. But WTH knows.
aitch! how ya been?
what kinda new stove did you get?
CT -
This is that winter of which we speak (looking out my backdoor just now).
Hey CT!
I’m getting there! We’ve been so busy at work that I haven’t gathered any of our information, including our rental in Hilo, to bring home at night. My pal is doing all the reservations, but we plan and to sit down soon. I’ll send dates and where we are staying. And I need to look at some guide books. Soon!!!
Is not everyone a time traveler in her own way?
…it’s Suzanne who’s the time-traveler.
*heh* By a couple of hours, at least…! ;-)
DrDick!
That is beautiful.
its just a jump to the left
My sister brought back a 1/4 bushel of tangelos for me from Gainesville, so I’m waaay in the pink, so to speak. Glad to hear you’re missing the worst of the stormeries.
Seriously, look at Harper’s Car Rental for a rental…! They’ll even pick ya up at the airport…! A big deal here…!
snow totals for tues night
The Zen of the Alpha Psychic — gotta love it!
oh yum! tangelos are so good! and good for ya
Boring story. Try to make it short: Old wood stove VT Castings small stove replaced last winter with bigger version. Lemon. Replaced, with no additional cost with smaller version, same as I used to have. Worked much better.
This winter (3-months of new smaller stove) went thru a lot of fire wood, but started to put in fewer logs at a time. Temp maintained. Who knows.
OK. Gotta turn in. Be well and be warm.
Missoula gets really pretty after a big snowfall. Mountains ought to be gorgeous in the morning. The snow is still coming down and they are talking feet of snow up in the mountains. A couple of the passes already had over 18 inches at 5:30 tonight.
Tangelos so rawk…! The juiciest I’ve ever tried, besides Mangos…! ;-)
Ok! Great to know. We will arrive around 9:00 p.m. so that is good news.
Sweet dreams, eCAHN…!
g’nite ecahn
Could be you dried out the humidity by Dec.
Wow! Makes us look like Delaware (hey! I love Delaware).
Thanks for the help, Suz. And damn that BoggMan. I flitted around, got a white screen, tried again, got the sweetest note from firefox …. “Oh, dear, looks like you’re having a problem”….or words to that effect. Got steered right. Just looked down…and now I know what time it is again. Fun.
yay!!!
Time for me to toddle off. Take care all.
g’nite dr dick
Sent link to Marsha. She will book in advance. She sent me links I will look at later about free stargazing on Mauna Kea (Saturdays).
that sounds like so much fun ce! wow
Suzanne,
We are so excited. I haven’t seen the ocean, any ocean, for years. That the office let us both go at the same time (we two old ladies) is almost a miracle.
i’ve only been to hawaii once and i was early in my pregnancy with jen — all the pictures of me are ‘this is suzanne right before she threw up’ or ‘this is suzanne right after she threw up’.
Hi Suz,
Hope you’re doing well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fNS1wxE2Rw&feature=related
I’m hoping you will share this adventure with us on the internets….should Congress so deem, as it were.
On edit: Too, also.
hey vmt — how ya been? long time no see your fonts
strange
Yeah, I’ve been on the down low. It’s nice to check in. Hope all the firedogs are maintaining their charming otherness.
tis good to see ya again
low down
Ah perfect. ;-)
Evenin’ Suz! Looks like the party started early, but I’m in time to pay my respects.
sb! how’s santa barbara tonight?
Indeed — come April!
Perfect. A bit of a nip in the air, but nothing compared to the real winter you & others have. Rain for the weekend, so we’ll have our version of winter.
i may bitch about the cold etc but i really do enjoy having 4 seasons and how changeable it can be. california weather really was pretty boring most of the time
Oh my, that sounds about as exciting as me being seasick on the ferry from Maine to Nova Scotia. Oh, yes, and my pregnancy in 1981 when I couldn’t stay awake for six weeks. Good times!
The seasons are here, you just have to be hyperaware!
congrats on snaggin’ the happy lucky 99 sb!!!
the pearl harbor cruise was a real muck-up — turned out to be a horrible idea
I’ll take some happy lucky, thanks! When are you going to Hawaii?
i’m not — ce is but i travel vicariously through her. i wanna go to alaska
Too quick a read-through! I’ve only touched down in AK, but am looking forward to visiting for real.
Did I tell you that I’m going to Berlin and Munich in September?
Suzanne said she travels vicariously through you; accepting any new passengers?
*heh* Welcome to Paradise, M’dear…! ;-)
Sorry, I was just busy cooking din-din for the Better Half…! ;-)
i’ve always wanted to go — and see the uk. totally missed the perfect opportunity when my sister was living there but i just couldn’t afford it. just like now with all my travel dreams *laughing*
et said if i come up he’ll take me fishing out on the sound.
*sigh*
Heh! Join us!
whatcha fixin?
Hey, Suz. Thanks for Johnny and Roy – that’s a treat.
hey twain — how ya doing tonight? glad ya liked it
Local fish?
My constraints aren’t financial, but family. It’s hard to travel with our son who is still at home, and hard for him if we’re gone too long. (Multiple disability deal.) We all go to Maui every summer, which is a highlight for all of us. I’m hoping there will be more travel in the future, as we eventually transition him to supported living.
I’m good, thanks. It’s cold here – not like other places but cold for us. Beautiful clear blue skies and no sign of rain. We need it so badly. They’re making snow at Tahoe.
I took a package of pastaroni(White cheddar and Shells) to another level… Chopped up some ham, maui onions, garlic, fresh broccoli, and some fresh tomatoes…! ;-)
i’ve always wanted to travel but have not been able to do more than car trips. thought about driving to alaska… even looked into renting an rv to do it but…
I’d be a terrible companion, as I have genealogy queries in Germany. Nobody wants to be with a crazed family historian!
spiderpaws was tellig me about it and says feb 12th the planets all like up for lotsa water
oh yum! care to stuff some of that into the tubes for me dood? i’m so forking sick of the taste of my own cooking
I’ve got some leftover rosemary chicken & whitebeans I can shoot your way.
thanks sb!!! senator stevens’ tubes are gonna be fulla goodies tonight!
Well I married into a family of crazed family historians — all over Scotland, Switzerland and the north of Ireland. MrCE loves this stuff!!!
I FINALLY learned this winter to roast chicken at 450 degrees, rest for 30 minutes, and experience heaven.
colbert’s superpac has a new ad up... ohmygoodness *clasping hands to face*
i’m so forking sick of the taste of my own cooking…
You and I both…! ;-)
The Better Half is always amazed at what I can whip up at a moment’s notice and with limited supplies…! *g*
Sounds like I’d be in good company!
the livestream post for occupy is upstairs
moving on up… to the east side
Limited supplies is my specialty! The joke around here is that I excel at “Pantry” as I can look in the fridge & the cupboards and spin gold, or at least a somewhat tasty meal.
Pantry is a real skill. Keep at it SB.
*heh* We’re two peas in a pod, SB…! ;-)
Thanks, it is a skill, and my hips can show the downside! ;)
Me too! If I learned anything from living in Paris, it was how to make a meal of this and that. Add wine and bread. Feast!
I’d just add a little olive oil and garlic to that to agree!
Oh yes. Even olive oil with lemon, my new fav.
I saw one fish dish in Hawai’i Magazine. Any local shellfish?
A good Rhine/Rhone Wine always makes a meal…! ;-)
Funny, I’d turned around and was about to mention to the Better Half that din-din was done, and, she was already busy at work…! I got two thumbs up, too..! ;-)
I always substitute Olive Oil for the butter/margarine requirements and garlic goes in virtually everything I cook…! ;-)
Let’s see, peas in a pod. I’ve got some garlic; maybe steam the peas. Sauté the garlic, throw in some frozen chopped onions. Toss in some leftover cut up chicken, a little chicken broth. Microwave some brown rice, throw that in and then serve it next to the peas.
Great to break bread with one you love. Hurrah!
Perhaps a little feta on top, too?
Not much besides Opihi, which I should add is an ‘acquired’ taste, to say the least…! The fresh fish is awesome tho…! ;-)
Sounds great to me — I want to live on fresh fish.
Hey guys.
Check out the number of people who got involved with the anti-SOPA/PIPA thing today.
FORKIN’ IMPRESSIVE
http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20120118/21231917462/8-million-people-looked-up-their-elected-officials-contact-info-during-wikipedia-blackout.shtml
OH YES! Forgot that in the bottom drawer of the fridge. Excellent.
That really warms my heart. Perhaps I won’t have to rely on Colbert to save us.
I’ve been doing that on and off for years. When we lived on Prince William Sound Alaska, we could get fresh fish, clams or crab almost any day of the year.
That totally rulz, tuez…! We the People have spoken…! ;-)
Until BP I pretty much lived on fresh fish. Now, I won’t touch the stuff, at least anything from the gulf.
Aloha, ET…! Any respite yet from the Snows…?
Oh man that sounds divine! My week at Campobello Island found lots of local fish. We baked with lemons and garlic, breadcrumbs and herbs.
Now, if we could just get a similar number of people to care about a few more things…
But empowerment has to start somewhere and the green shoots are lookin’ fantastic.
Between that kind of concern and my shellfish allergy, I’ve gotten quite skittish about seafood.
Oh, that is so sad. How about all those tee vee commercials funded by BP screaming how wonderful the Gulf is and that we should vacation there NOW.
Don’t blame ya one iota, M’dear…! 8-(
My childhood included crabbing on the Indian River in the little state of Delaware. We would catch bushes of blue claw crabs. Nana would boil them in the basement. We feasted on the dock. Memories.
Personally, I don’t buy anything we are “told” about what is or is not going on in the Gulf.
I’ve gotten into grapeseed oil as a part of the combo because it can handle higher heats. It’s also wonderful for removing waterproof mascara.
I can’t believe they put this shit on the tee vee. What a load of lies.
We did the same thing in New Jersey. Crabs, crabs and more crabs. Super yummy.
Hey ! That is hilarious about removing mascara! Not sure I’ve seen grapeseed oil for sale here. Is it a health store product?
It’s also wonderful for removing waterproof mascara.
*heh* I wouldn’t know anything about that, M’dear…! ;-)
Aloha, How’s the Sound tonite…?
So sad those days are over. We were near Bethany Beach in DE. Just a ferry ride away from New Jersey.
It’s not just on your Teevee, baby. It’s on your prison menus and your poor inner city school lunch calender.. Waste not want not.
When we lived in Whittier AK we caught salmon most of the summer, halibut in late summer, smaller bottom fish almost year round and cutthroat or Dolly Varden trout occasionally. On low tides, we’d dig up clams, and gumboots (a relative of the critters CT wrote about above). I had crab pots for Dungeness, and they occasionally caught Opilio or King crab. Everyone shared their shrimp, which were HUGE. In March and April, I netted herring, which I mostly pickled. My bodyguard and I would dive for sea cucumbers when they were at their peak for taste, in July. We harvested kelp with herring roe on it right after the herring spawned in early May.
I wouldn’t trade those times and events for anything.
We’ve got lots of grapeseed oil with our region’s vineyards. Who knew it had beauty applications?
I was at Bethany Beach as a kid. Also further south on Chincoteague, where some family member had a beach house.
Check your oil aisle in the store. It’s not one of those things you notice until you learn how awesome it is. It’s a middle eastern secret. It’s wonderful for moisturizing hair.
Fuck.
Now I’m passing on ME secrets AS WELL as hoarding food and owning guns.
I need a tattoo to id me.
Sea Cucumbers…? Really…? I’ve never tried ‘em before and hadn’t heard of any edible qualities to them, ET…!
Though we only summered by the sea, it has stayed with me all my life. Boats, fishing, clamming, crabbing, riding the waves in Lewes, sleeping with wave patterns, and cooking and eating with family and friends. Playing games until wee hours. What better bliss could this be?
*heh* Homeland Security already has ya dead to rights, M’dear…! ;-)
My parents rented for years in Bethany. They bought a house in Lewes in 1974. We teens loved Rehobeth the best, of course, for the boardwalk. Smoking cigarettes and drinking colas on the bordwarlk!
Is that not insane? Having a weeks worth of food in the house=terrorist. Jesus, anyone with an American size fridge and freezer, let alone a spare, has that much at any time.
I told my husband yesterday that not only were we terrorists, we were hyperterrorists, since I haven’t been to the grocery store since the beginning of the month.
We won’t discuss the sorry state of affairs in my pantry and fridge currently-gots to hit up the store tomorrow.
You are hilarious!
Oh tell the truth, I don’t recall anyone smoking just cigarettes and drinking just cola in that part of the world in the mid to late 70s.
Course, I grew up in north Jersey, so we became delinquents at an earlier age.
Truthfully, it was the late 60′s, like 1968. We were pretty innocent Catholic school girls, just cruising for boys. We didn’t discover pot for another few years.
Yes. We dumped our yuppyish lifestyle to live on the tide flats for 13 years and raise strong children, at home. I’m so grateful for that mad idea.
And I dated a Jersey boy at the University of Delaware. Loved him.
The kind of sea cucumbers we foraged off the bottom were Parastichopus californicus. We’d cut an end off, turn them inside out, then cut it in half end-to-end. Then we’d fillet the muscle off from the rest. It tasted like a razor clam that had eaten a lot of kelp. I other words – Yum!
I guess I’m just enough younger than you that life was just a little wilder out of the gate. Shame, it’s changed, as it was still pretty innocent.
Hi. 9 grain Pancakes mix from organic store in bulk. Added rolled oats almonds and walnuts. Drizzled with fresh honey and molasses syrup thinned a bit. Fuji apple slices and tangerines on the side with hot earl grey and assam tea. Ready to paint boat and did.
Mad ideas, indeed. At 65, the idea of foraging from beach to beach is as wonderful as ever, but the reality is different from when I was 25. Sadly, even in such a pristine area as Prince William Sound, there is a lot less life there now than when we lived it.
Lovely evening All. Goodnight!
Good night
Edward Teller, as I type my parents [who are with us for the storm, they live a mile away but that's a long way in a storm] and my husband are watching the TED talks Mushroom series. I thank you, again, for sharing your knowledge/knowledges.
We’re renters, so we can’t open or read the letters from the Agriculture Department.? . Letters sent to every neighbor requesting Agricultural Information about said property. If your have chickens, how many.If they lay eggs, how many. I just found our how strange it was, so I’ll learn more.
Any other Rural people who got these surveys, return demanded under law?
I was going to research it on the toobs today and had to slap my wrist!
*ooh* That sounds totally awesome, bb…! ;-)
We lived along a channel that had a sea cucumber fishing boat working. We could hear them in our yard……deeeeep breath innnnnn…..deeep breath out…….walkie talkie talk…..uugh,deep breath.
I was always so glad I was on land.
Thanks. Hope they enjoyed watching. Amazing stuff, nature’s realm. Crazy stuff, government mandatory forms.
That doesn’t even look close to what the Isles has, ET…! They’re drabber in color and more denser in texture…! Never heard of anybody harvesting them here either…!
Back to studying. Tchaikovsky’s Hamlet.
Yes, it’s one of those realities that spins me in circles of anger. I’m slowly accepting that I was lucky to fish native fish, hike unpopulated mountains, and learn natural skills that translate to love. I’m lucky.
Unlike most seas species, they are under-harvested here. hope it stays that way. So little food in the sea compared to 500 years ago, so many more mouths to feed.
They’re still watching!! It’s a new thought project.
And lucky to grow up in an idea of this country that was shared, and clear. Now we’re in crazy town and I’m just not reconciled to the fact that it’s my country.
I’m off to sleepytown. So nice to check in again and share a few happy moments with you all!
so many more mouths to feed.
With all the ‘long lines’, etc, we’re looking at unsustainable levels of fishing that has devastated the Blue and Yellow Fin Tuna, amongst many other species…! 8-(
Sweet dreams, SB…!
You too, whenever you get there! Goodnight all!
Oy, I should edit myself…..methinks.
it’s not your country, it’s not your nation,..those were the myths that allowed us to kill for freedom. imho
It is your intimate community, as you define your community and it’s worth nurturing. As OccupySeattle taught me; An individual can not be self-sufficient. A community can be self- sufficient.
Shouldn’t there be a religious blush to avoid the taint of Anarchy? Maybe we can embrace Populatism without relying on the churches to feed and house the poor. That is the job of a Democratic Government.
I might be feeling to protective of the anarchists.
*heh* You’re a Gabby Gus, like moi…! ;-)
Congrats too on the rare Deuce…!
Openhope is a gas. Want to see my letter on homelessness and affordable housing?
I’m pretty sure that’s a babble.
Sweet dreams, all.
strength,laughter,peace
Hello Leadership People
The vision for a solution to homelessness in the 10 year HUD plan include permanent housing. Yet the housing policies here have led to a loss of low income units across the Central Coast (our area of influence by flipping etc). Coupled with 9% unemployment (above the national average) and $10.30 an hour medium wage (50% below the national average) a permanent housing deficit has a growing curve showing a growth in the population that cannot be afforded by a medium income household. This leads to over crowding, hot-bedding, garage conversions as our working poor families even live in vehicles or worse no where. The impact on utilities in these houseolds has not been evaluated as water/sewer/electric/gas increase per household increase. Travel to work from AH is a carbon footprint cost of environmental concern. In short a AH housing stock near workplace is essential for sustainable communities.
People’s Self Help Housing Director informed me at the Homeless Memorial for those who died in the streets, that unless some major changes occur the homeless population will continue expanding This creates a burden on emergency services, jail and hospitals. This was in response to my question‘how can we change the housing crisis in our area”?
In my town of Los Osos opposing interest have exacerbated this situation to disaster conditions. Many people who are housed, but hanging on by a thread are now faced with rapidly rising water costs and an insane sewer cost of $250.00 a month as presented to us by SLO County staff during presentation at Sunnyside School. The water bills range from $75.00 to $900.00 a month in the Golden State Water Purveyors district with LOCSD planning more increases. How will we absorb these new cost? Where will these people go if they can’t pay, taxes, mortgage, rent and utilities? These questions go unanswered though oft repeated in the public forum and the press. California Legislature has expressed a desire to prevent homelessness. Where is the commitment?
A double standard of social justice exist. The plan is to kick the can down the road as austerity reigns. Deep cuts in the safety net by Federal, State and Local government is leaving thousands of local citizens in deep poverty, without means for food shelter and clothing. The scale of need is growing to depression desperation. These people, 40% children, are experiencing what John Steinbeck described in his classic humanitarian writing “Grapes of Wrath”. One reviewer wrote “ …how long can individuals or a society overlook the less fortunate without feeling some shame?
Where is the plan to achieve stated goals? Show it to us please. Housing goals need to be established and met. Whatever is in place has not come close to achieving an affordable housing stock. In fact the housing stock has not been effectively assessed. It has been plain to me 1,000 units of MF affordable housing would be filled before it was built (spread according to area needs). All AH is filled when opened. This County does not have a living wage law. It has high housing costs, a recipe for failure. The HUD 10 year plan includes development of permanent housing. I may have missed the SLO plan, if one exists may I have the link please.
Please pt these tasks on your agenda for 2012.
Thank you for your attention,

Most definitely, bb…! ;-)
Jane is trying to get some hearty individuals to give a presentation on how the various Occupies can and should handle the homeless…! Are ya game…? ;-)
Outstanding, bb…! *g*
I refuse to accept numbered comment placement as an indication of anything positive or negative.
I have watched the guilt Suzanne has been dragged through at every hit of 100. Then came the 99. Now she’s hitting that too. It can’t end well.
Forsake the numbers. :]
Free Suzanne
*heh* Those India Pale Ales are kicking your ass, eh, open…? ;-)
Virtual Freedom! G) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UskkwKmccGU this is a beaut and a classic!
From your keyboard to Suz’s eyeballs, if she’s still around…! ;-)
Thank you , it’s hard to know the needs versus the arrogance.
I’m starting to donate some of our homegrown chickens and chicken stock to the homeless shelter.
I felt frigging proud to drop off 3 chix, 3 half gallon frozen blocks of stock, 3 dozen eggs…..they feed 6,000 people a month.
Boy, did I feel like a naive wanker. It’s hard to be clueless.
That is so kewl, open…! Bless ya…! *g*
No actually. …….
uh………I’m sounding unhinged?……………because all I’ve had is some Hawaiian pot, dude!
I’m a loose cannon on the best of days.
The Supremes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrxDb8s_yqE&feature=related
I’ll toke to that…! ;-)
You’re not unhinged at all, M’dear…!
Well, I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu, before I get unhinged…! ;-)
I was just trying to figure out how to link a couple excellent little old lady jokes for the love of laughter.
I failed. damn
I’m being tongue-in-cheek .
I’m actually buying a Pale Ale kit as soon as the storm passes. I’m interested in the finer points of choosing a flavor ,especially having different hops available,…and realized I was way over my head.
I thought India Pale Ale and Pale Ale were the same. Took your advice and the #1 son concurs.
I bow down!
I never expected that ! Hilarious, how the hell did that get past the censors when Puff The Magic Dragon was a drug coded song?! Also, uhmm, what’s under her big skirt that makes her go up and down in a rythmic way..
I adore this song. Thank you.
When I was a tween ,it was the romance song.
As a mother, it took on a whole new meaning.
great song
uh oh, I’m last commenter again, right?
Sweet dreams,all.
Lawrence Welk himself gave thanks for that ‘Spiritual’…! ;-)
