The first three times, I tried to figure out how someone so freaking cool – and I mean that in a number of ways – gets that way. Surely there is a method, a school where they teach the method, and star pupils. I was unsuccessful.

Chilly here (well, around 50 today and yesterday), but sunny today, which means the allergies are indeed in full bloom. Been sneezing so much I finally broke down and refilled the most powerful prescription med. Which is to say, the expensive one.

Whew – pharm had a poster about immunizations, so I asked about the shingles one. Not covered by the Walgreen’s discount card, so $220!! Oh well.

I was at my lawyers and ex-lawyers support group tonight, which reminded me of why I don’t really wanna practice law again.

May have misled ya – the allergy med only $47. The $220 is for shingles vaccine…which I did not go for. Just cross fingers and hope it holds off for awhile.
My yoga class was talking about people we knew who’ve had shingles, and how terrible it is, and I realized I’m in the age group for it now. I wonder if it’s covered under ACA? And if so, when it would kick in? I know some parts are in effect now, but not clear if I’m eligible for anything yet.

I’d think I have been rushing the sourdough rise. This sat all day under a damp towel, (was originally going to bake about 10 AM), and it did a slow rise in the glass loaf pans. Cooled enough to pop it out about an hour ago. Slight crunch of thick crust and this sour really jumps the tongue.

*whew* i used to date a guy who had it and it would lay him low with a worse than migraine whole body ache that lasted several days.

Yes, a nod to the down economy. Survived several of these down periods, but this one is different, it’s a deliberate tear-down of the social fabric.

Makes sense. It’s the same virus as chicken pox (or is it measles?), and that’s basically where the shingles comes from. So I spose it figures the shingles could return, too.

Well, how’d I get this started? Actually had a fairly decent day and evening. Being out of the house for my meeting, I wasn’t able to watch the cable nets obssess about New Hampshire, and I see it came out about as expected. ; )

Sorry, just back, and yes the extra time was the factor. I was taste testing again. Cream cheese spread full, now a sip of hot tea.

Suze, no speed test lately; the connection is cable, but I think I have the slowest from my provider (cheapest). Not sure. Normally fairly fast but videos always stutter.
