Happy Holidays, Suzanne and Pups. I enjoyed seeing my Montana Girl and her family last week and will spend Christmas Eve afternoon with my dad and then Christmas Eve and Day with my grandbabyboys and their parents and their dad’s big Italian family. Family is good!

Montana was divine! Big Sky, indeed. Blue sky, cold weather….but dry! When it’s 40 degrees in southern CA, everyone bundles up…..when it’s 40 degrees in Bozeman, everyone puts on shorts and flip-flops. You gotta laugh!

when my landlord’s son drove me into town to pick up the car from the mechanics, he was wearing a windbreaker over a tshirt and shorts and hiking shoes. i was wearing a heavy turtleneck sweater, long heavy pants, boots and my navy watch cap.

And my daughter and her husband and the kids actually go out into the forest to pick a tree. They found the sweetest tree!~ Tall and straight from reaching up for sunlight….just perfect in every way.

Just pulled this today from Llewellyn Rockwell, Jr web site. He is the guy who ghost wrote Ron’s name on the racist articles in Ron’s newsletter.
Tell me if someone smears you by writing a bunch of racist articles in your name and your running for President do you let that guy continue to sell your books and t-shirts?
Do you let them continue to have a connection to you knowing it damages your reputation?
Unless of course you really want racist votes?

I think the Orange One may have trouble remaining speaker of the House now his Tea Bag supporters needed a win to show they are still relevant to their voters currently Congress has the lowest poll numbers ever and Tea Baggers poll lower than Muslims among regular voters.
The Tea Baggers are in power now they have to deliver failing that they have to stop Obama.
A public loss to Obama on an issue that got this much media attention hurts them and they know it. Since their is little chance to win moderate voters the Tea Baggers need to keep their base excited and for that they need wins stopping Obama since their economic plans won’t create jobs.
Since the majority of voters seem to think now that the rich should be taxed more and government should create jobs.

Today, a ton of rain swept through my part of Pennsylvania and found the weakest shingle in my roof. Then I heard strange gurgling sounds coming up from the basement. Yep, water tank died and was spewing all its insides out on the cellar floor.

The Better Half had recieved a Mason Jar, today, that had all the dry ingredients, layered for visual effect, for a batch of ‘Friendship’ Brownies…! What a kewl gift…! Complete with a bow tie and the recipe…! I was stoked, myself…! *g*

A new water tank stands where the old tank died. The old tank joins the two other tanks (that have died near Christmases over the decades) against the western wall.

The new tank has a flashing little light near its base. Haven’t a clue what it’s for….

One year(and, yes, about a week before Christmas)a hot water radiator feed line burst while me and The Sweety were out buying gifts. By the time we got home, the dining room was fully flooded….

Sometimes I, indeed, wonder if this old house is cursed in that no Christmas shall pass without an attack from the water people….

Oh yeah…! Big Dif…! Especially, Hilo town, as opposed to the rest of the state…! We’re always 5-10 degrees lower than the daily state ‘hi’…!

aha… i knew people who went to some place on the big island, kona coast maybe (?) that had no radio, no tv, but all the other creature comforts. they went every summer to ‘decompress’ and loved the warm breezes

Just got a Christmas card today from a high school buddy, lives in South Carolina now. They’re flyin’ up to Ohio for the holidays to visit their daughter, I hope they get out of there before the bad weather hits.
