Your up-to-date list of what the Republican base is for, judged by audience response:
* As many people executed as possible;
* Attacking Iran – repeatedly;
* Assassinations are awesome too;
* Letting the uninsured die;
* And just this Saturday, Child Labor;
And against:
* American soldiers, engaged in tactics other than invading and occupying Islamic nations.
At least most of them will be out of my home-state in three weeks.

About Firedoglake
I think most of us can agree (over, and over, and over) that this fairly represents the failed political class of this country, and what failure to behold. Failure by Design. Bill Hicks, and George Carlin tried to tell us how it works:

Sen. Carl Levin gives full credit to Obama for accomplishing what no R or D Fascist before him has had the audacity of hope to dare:

Nearly as odious as your “for” list is trying to think of something the party formerly known as the Democratic Party is “for”. Many elected Democrats would agree with a lot of the list but just won’t admit it.
In spite of what Obama said on 60 minutes, we still have uninsured people dying because they cannot afford to live.
The Crazy Express is ready to bust out of Iowa. Hit it!
Rather than using guilt by association and crowd reaction, how about a recitation of actual Democrat failures?
* Gunrunning to drug cartels.
* Coverup of gunrunning to drug cartels.
* Assassinations
* Attempt to legalize disappearing people by the military.
* Passing legislation without reading it.
* Nationalizing car companies and giving them to unions.
* Abrogating bond holder legal rights.
* Attacking new countries.
* Trillion dollar deficits every year.
* EPA abuse.
* Manipulating unemployment numbers.
* Killing jobs in energy production.
* Solyndra et al.
* Failed stimulus.
* Continuing TBTF.
And on and on and on. But that’s OK. it only matters that IOKIYAD.
going to agree, we are rooting for the democratic team but they have demonstrated no difference, what the republican party campaigns for the democratic party accomplishes
case in point
obama
your second youtube is frightening, I am quoting you to help make certain more people watch it as possible
with all the smacks in the face there are democrats that still support this trojan benedict in sheep clothing and it looks like the worst president in history is going to be marching back into the white house based on a clown car running against him and an fdr speech he has absolutely no intention of making good
OK, so the Republican base is awful.
Please tell me in what way they are responsible for the massive betrayal that is Obama and the Dems?
Good morning, pups. It’s Keller and Krugman today. Mr. Keller thinks he has found “The Good Newt.” He says at least on one issue — immigration — Newt Gingrich gets it. Prof. Krugman, in “Depression and Democracy,” says in Europe, much more than a shared currency hangs in the balance.
Here they are.
The coffee and tea are ready, and the biscuits are out of the oven. It’s been raining for hours, so I’ve got several damp, draggled kittehs on the porch looking for their breakfast, so I think I’ll bring a towel with the dishes. Have a great day.
Good morning all,
Another week on the Zany train, which used to look just like a clown can.
Agreed, that many Dems have either sold out or caved, or were never in the liberal camp to begin with. No big surprise there.
But we shouldn’t let that fact hold our beliefs and actions hostage, to the point we fail to attack the forces of darkness or advocate for our principles. That’s sort of a duh.
Thinking only in terms of the Repub/Dem dichotomy leads us astray, and feeds the trolls.
Oh, and one other to add to the list of applause or booing lines: how about the boos for the gay soldier? Don’t forget the crowd reaction to him.
Treat those kitties well; they’ll be glad to see you.;)
Those kitties may be wet, but here they won’t be icycles, today. And agreed, we need to support the right side.
Where was the booing event? I missed that…

So, what’s your point?
Thanks…Day to recognize Bush v. Gore….a Day to mourn for our country and court.
As far as I can tell, there is a horse, a traitor, and a wolf missing from your statement. LOL
doesn’t it seem that gore was a party to it now in hind sight?
why wouldn’t he run again against bush, at the very least after the second term
and why isn’t he running now against obama, or for that matter, why isn’t he speaking out as vehemently against obama as he did bush?
gore needs to put a foot forward other then climate activism
I would have loved him for president but I grow bitter, he needs to do something more
But, but … he’s fat.
That tells you all you need to know.
I guess I don’t know….of course, he’s had all the marital dust up since then when he and Tipper delivered the big kiss….who knows?
IMO, looking to anyone in the D party — including Warren — as the answer to any of our problems is masochistic. But YMMV.

Good morning all. What a spirited group we have this morning.
This list applies to the Democratic base as well, as shown by the words and actions of the ONLY Democratic candidate for President.
There is only one candidate who opposes the items on the list and has stated so and acted upon his statements. He’s on the Republican side.
Good Morning to you…Good to see you….
“Nationalizing car companies and giving them to unions.” If true, why would that be bad?
this is also known as owner-operated.
Partisan finger-pointing aside, what strikes me is that the list of what the politicians are for runs completely counter to what polls say a majority of Americans are for. Yet these politicians are running in a national election.
Dick Cheney, is that you?
