Pain is diminishing – although those 40 steps were a joy – for some reason I turned down Percocet. Not going to do that tomorrow.

good. you might need the help … tis good to cover your bases. i figured my friend would stay about two weeks when i had my tkr surgery — i needed her for a month. that first month was a rough one – i don’t do morphine well and it took a solid month before my head cleared enough that i could drive

I’ve been busy cleaning house today, while the Better Half was busy ringing bells today, ironically, right after she got off today, the SA’s Women’s Group, that she attends every thurs. nite, picked her up to… Ring Bells…! ;-)

It’s her B’day tomorrow so I wanted to surprise her when she gets back later tonite…!

Yeah, I’ll be able to walk without pain for first time in years before much longer. Right now not so much, surgery cut my ass to the bone – about 20 cm incision. Insult to my muscle is pretty extreme.

My sleep pattern is erratic, but getting plenty of it, Had a nice oven full of sourdough bread baked by 6:00 AM Thursday. So, I was down for a five hour nap and now up for a bit, here. Pouring a big cup of hot sleepy-time tea which should put me out for a few more hours of sleep before daylight. Visited some friends yesterday and distributed two of the loaves.

how old is your starter?

Almost 60 years, oh, you mean the bread. Old enough, but only about 7 months. Still a very nice subtle flavor and the thick water-brushed crust.

the older it gets the better it gets is what i’ve heard… i’ve tried to have starter but i’ve never been able to keep it going — i either kill it with kindness or neglect
