Hiya, Suz!
Hi Suz
Jsut a drive shout out to all the great Pups at the Lake.. Long day and need the extra zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s.. stay warm Pups…
Aloha, Suz and lln pups…!
How long does it take one to get used to new/fake teeth? After two days, I’m about to cut my head off.
hey newton — how was your day?
hey tuez — how ya doing tonight?
hey nahant — stay warm yourself dood
i am used to mine but that doesn’t mean i like them — at least i’ve finally stopped gagging
i only wear them when i have to
OK, it is really cold here now. Otherwise, great.
You getting faux snow yet?
That’s not encouraging.
mcminnville had snizzle yesterday — snow caused by freezing fog drizzle. i’m supposed to finally hit freezing tonight per the weather dood
i was very surprised that i had difficulty adjusting to them. they fit very well but my palate is very sensitive and the slightest shift would get me gagging. plus i major seriously disliked the brand of glue the dds recommended and finally switched to one that isn’t as bad. i would love to have implants but have no $ for them. i’m still paying off the dentist for all the extractions and the upper plate — down to $200 *yay*
i only wear them when i have to
Ditto that with the Better Half…!
Great.Rap.Lyric.
I have that gagging problem too. I also seem to have developed a sinus problem, while still in the dentist office. Have nice puffy sinuses to top it all off.
aloha tut — how’s paradise tonight? still soggy?
Hi, Suzanne. These days, whenever anyone asks me how’m I doing, I just say, “I’m walking on sunshine.” (Then, I duck.)
seriously! that’s the term the weather dood used when talking about it
snoop would be so proud
That’s the Shizzle as Snoop would say…! ;-)
hey mikey — here’s some katrina for ya…. how sf tonight?
My uppers, gagging aside, seem to be okay. It’s the lower partial that the dentist calls a “flapper” but I consider a helicopter. The damn thing is all over the place. However, like I said, it’s only been two days.
Can’t talk though without whistling, which I couldn’t do with my real teeth. ERRRRR
Hiya All — finally getting cold here. The rain has been really depressing, but am hoping for cold and some snow today. Heading east next week to have a holiday with parents and east coast relatives. Hoping for snow-free PA mountains.
ouch… the good news is you will learn the best way to glue them… i found putting on way more than i thought helped and paying attention to what i was doing when i started gagging. for a long time, the act of getting in the drivers seat of my car would set me off….
Okay, one foamy Latte is incoming…! ;-)
latte babe
hey ce — how’s the tree look? and how’s the drunk cake?
(laughing) thanks tut — love the foam art peace sign
*heh* Now ya owe me a frothy quaff…! ;-)
It’s funny what sets us off, isn’t it?
sending ya a kiwanda cream ale dood
It was great hearing ya again on today’s webinar…! They’re so cool to attend…! *g*
i had a difficult learning curve — am pretty forking stubborn and that didn’t help. what did help was having an email buddy who got her teeth (full set) right around the same time i got my uppers. she really helped reassure me that i would get through it inspite of myself and had useful tips for working on my speech such as singing to the radio
i love attending the occupy supply liaison weekly webinars. i learn so much and they give me hope.
Tree is beautiful about 8′ and very posh with glass and lovely wood German ornaments. The fruitcake is just so fragrant — I need to booze it more this week as it will be cut 10 days earlier (with my parents next weekend). I should give it a good wash each night.
sweet! its not the drunken fruitcake until its got a good slosh going :)
s-a-n-t-a
Not new teeth, but 2011 with double front root canals that did save them, what a year from hell. Who knew that two little teeth would be such an expensive bitch of a time?
now that i’ve got my uppers almost paid off, my bottom teeth are going to shit
fuck – i wish we had single payer and that it covered dental work
Ooh, that is one sweet ale, M’dear…! *g*
Well, my eyelids are screaming at me now, the past two nites have caught up with me with a vengeance…! I shall bid ya’ll a fond adieu for the evening…! *g*
lonesome raindeer blues
aloha tut
When they told me in April that I had “run out of dental insurance” I was aghast. No insurance from April to December, but I had to pay for it all those months until Jan. 2012.
when i retired, i lost my dental coverage — its not included in my retirement benefits :(
Hey Suz, Tuez and everyone, so nice to have a warm fire here at the Lake.
I second CE on the rain…really would rather have snow. I hydroplaned on a busy street that was awash in rain. I’m not a great driver on dry land, rain does not improve my skillz…
Anyway, we are going to be home for Christmas, with MsCE and we are thinking very small this year. Christmas morning strata, high tea with snacks and eggnog. Skip dinner and off to the movies in the evening. War Horse.
hey margot — how ya doing tonight?
small can be fun… such a serious movie tho
Good, thanks. I have white bean hummus and I am a happy person.:)
Yes, but my fascination with WW1 is drawing me in. This is the war no one talks about.
somebody stole my santa suit
i hear its a hanky movie…

I’m taking a whole box!
I’m going to be a zombie at work if I don’t go to bed now. Nighters!
i never watched that one. i’ve been into doc martin on pbs lately – he does grumpy doc very well and i love all the quirky characters
g’nite ce
did everyone go to sleep or are ya’ll watching the daily show?
Awake but not for too much longer. How’s your stove holding up, Suz?
tis keeping me warm :) the new steel plate at the bottom works like a charm. last night i was able to figure out how to bank the fire so it started right back up again this morning when i got up — it had been a while since i needed to do that
Glad to hear that.
I would love to have a woodburner in here. Radiant heat feels warmer to me than furnace heat.
Night!
g’nite margot
guess i should mosey on out myself. i’ve got a fresh pot of coffee ready to go for those who come in later.
thanks for letting me hang out with ya tonight. tomorrow nite — nothing christmas!
g’nite all
