Morning, BT.
Prosecutors won’t drop charges against student-journalist arrested at Occupy Rochester.
No, Mr. Franklin, we couldn’t.
Could Newt possibly be our Pres? Really?
Shudder. Good morning, everyone.
Quibble: U.S. never was a republic.
From the Reuters link. Someone is seeing the light.
Are we seeing a pattern here?
Good morning all. Can I share a good news bad news? OK.
Work is very busy. That’s the good news. The bad news is, it is driven by a product used in drilling for gas and oil that has exploded demand wise.
(yes, it is difficult to deal with)
Thanks for the post BT.
Kenya us making an urgent appeal to U.S. for help after its invasion of Somalia last month: democracynow.
He has about as much chance as I do. *g*
Environment catastrophe oil spill off the coast of Rio: dn
Mornin’, BT, pups
Tomorrow is the 96th anniversary of the execution by firing squad of Joe Hill in Salt Lake City.
Among other things Joe Hill was an early song writer for the IWW.
Would Rochester police also arrest this photographer?
Check out the video. The bump on landing is a riot.
The way we’re going, the US will soon be a Republic of Fear.
National Press Club demembered a journalist bc he asked Prince Turki about the legitimacy of the Saudi regime: dn
On edit: Sam Husani (sp?); Suspended for 2 weeks. Turki didn’t answer Qs.
Good morning everyone. Yesterday the smell of Democracy was wonderful. I marched for about 40 minutes with around 700 people thru downtown St. Louis. It was breathtaking to see all those people come together. I will have a diary with video and pictures hopefully later today or tomorrow.
On edit: When is the best time to put a diary the beginning of the week or the weekend. Just wondering.
Why not? He’s not Mitt, and he’s certainly got no more dirt on him than Perry does. He’s not Mitt, and he seems to have enough money. He’s not Mitt, and the Tea party will likely support him.
Boxturtle (did I mention he’s not Mitt?)
Still not a single word from Obama on Occupy Wall Street. I firmly believe he is coordinating the crackdowns with the help of the national security apparatus.
I promised to support you if you ran. Popeye for President!
Boxturtle (Don’t let it go to your head, I’d support almost anybody left of Obama)
Maybe if I were younger. Thanks for the support I might win if you were behind me.
We have a winnah!
Heh, he delegated that task to DHS on Day One. Preznints don’t have to worry about shit after they hand something over to the Gestapo.
Okay, I’ve learned something new today. Never heard of Joe Hill.
Boxturtle (Hope I’ve enough caffine in me to remember)
Should anyone wish to view the march on dt St. Louis yesterday you may do so here.

Good Morning BT, Popey and Friends
I don’t know if there’s a better or best time to post a diary.
But, I do know that I’ll be looking for it.
I bet marching with the crowd was a real thrill for you.
You’re younger than St. Ronnie was, correct? You’re to the left of Obama, correct?
Boxturtle (And you’re not Mitt)
Good morning, all. I hate to say it ghost, but since the congressional puppets, the scotus, and the potus are so openly bought (too much evidence to bother trying to give examples), there is no chance for the necessary legislation helping the 99% to be passed that it is nothing more than hopeful dreams on our part.
Your radicalization has now begun.
I think it’s unfair to keep pointing out The Newter’s continuing pattern of taking
bribesconsulting fees from various and sundry industries. After all, he has a large Tiffany’s credit line to maintain. So there’s that…Morning BT & Pups of Fire.
Left you 2 responses at the end of last thread.
It was amazing my first protest march. I can say that the real heroes of this movement are the ones from day one who camped out and put real skin in the game. I was proud to be a part of it.
I agree with you, nothing is going to be done. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t workable solutions out there.
Yes on all accounts.
On Edit: Especially way to the left of Obama.
I want one for Christmas.
It’s in your blood now. heh heh heh
Yes sir you are correct. If it weren’t for my health I would have sat on Martin Luther King bridge and been arrested.
Congrats on the first! It is amazing to be a part of a protest march. Look forward to your diary.
Absolutely! Lots of solutions, but no ‘leadership’ capable of, or interested in, implementing any of them.
Thanks I wish I started this stuff about 30 years ago. *g* A lot easier on the body.
I don’t have any insider info, but my sense is that there’s more traffic around here during the week (especially early in the week), so posting a diary on the weekend might not get as many eyeballs. But let us know when it goes up and we can read and recommend and then it usually gets featured, sometimes even front-paged if it has recs or the topic is timely. Anything “occupy” is timely now.
Apparently the 32,000 people at OWS last night is confirmed. Way to beat down the Movement Mike. (you asshole)
Thanks. I was thinking Monday myself but most of you here read it anyway. I think it’s important that all occupy events get front paged so that we can see how big it is.
The ‘leadership’ lies with the youth. They’ll just have to wait until all the greedy old bastards die off.
Billo the clown said the movement is over that is before the march yesterday in New York. Righty O Bill good call.
Caption Contest:
Those other guys got boxes with a prize and all I got was punched in the stomach. And, it hurts.
And I’m gonna cry. *g*
And that proves that Bill O’Reilly was correct when he said the movement was officially over.
Wait. What?
Heh, then you’d be an old flamin’ radical like me, readin’ all that subversive stuff, givin’ the authorities hell every chance ya got. Great fun.
Vlad is up on democracynow.
I must admit I am overawed by the ‘leadership’ of the big 0 in giving the same support to OWS as he gave to the WI demonstrators. It is certainly true that the 99% simply don’t understand the intricacies of the business of w$. The idea that getting a govt bailout deserves a bonus makes complete sense as the 1% can explain it, but the 99% have only the understanding at a children’s level, the 1% should be trusted and the 99% should be thankful and go home to watch their TVs.
ha !
some little hippie gal as the march towards Brooklyn Bridge commenced yesterday:
“somewhere, Joe Hill is smiling “
Hej pupses and thank you, BT.
I can’t think of a caption. But, sheesh, he really looks like the Grinch.
Yup.
It would be an honor to be a flamin radical like you. Maybe there’s still time for me. *g*
Ecahn@32: Got ‘em and responded. Let’s keep that discussion over there so we don’t go O/t everywhere.
Boxturtle (not that there’s anything O/t in swim)
I fell asleep last night.
I left you another comment this morning.
With a bowel or bladder problem. Did I say that?
The Media Complex is fighting hard for closure. We must not allow that to happen. In fact, I think it would be a pretty good idea to do some “Occupy” demonstrations at the various MSM TeeVee outlets. Bring the story to them. They might actually get off their fat asses and do some actual, ya know, news reporting.
Good link, thanks.
The 99% simply loves being pandered to like children.
The 99% will be returning their affection as 0 stomps around the country next year begging for votes.
Cool. I was the last one standing.
Ewwww. TMI, popeye :)
Old & Slow
I hope you don’t let it bother you too much. Ya gotta have a job and you looked for one for a while, didn’t you? Damn this situation that makes people choose between feeding their families and their conscience.
That was certainly the case yesterday. The site was pretty consumed by Occupy reports, diaries, etc.
Well put, demi.
I agree, Oldnslow.
Sorry couldn’t resist. The picture was just perfect for that comment.
For the 2nd day in a row, Donny 1%er Duetch (sp?) on Morning Joke today sayin the Movement “needs a former Wall Streeter” as a spokesman to get out a clear focused message. (Man that guy is an asshole)
IMHO that should be most of the coverage here at FDL. I think the political is a waste of time but I guess we should at least know about it.
At the bottom of the page there is a box labeled “site meter.” If you click this box, it will display a lot of information about the traffic at FDL on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis.
If any of these people had a brain they’d take it out and play with it.
Mornin’, brother.
Thank you both. We have made the choice to make hay while the sun shines.
That’s a requirement for appearing on the show.
Hey Donny: Focus this…
They should rename that show to something like “Asshole Roundtable,” or “Morning Circle Jerk.”
Heh…
Not that we’re doing it for the attention, but we sure are getting some traffic here because of the OccupySupply efforts. Hope everyone read Glennzilla yesterday. Lots of coverage and two photos of OccupySupply.
Heh
How about “Morning Clusterfuck”?
It must be. The pool boy was on in person this morning.
Thanks for the link I have it book marked.
On edit: Sorry for the typing errors. Not enough coffee yet.
The sickest thing about the show are those black and white snapshots of Joke and Meeka all around NYC — she gazing into his dead eyes and he looking off into the distance.
Makes we want to wretch.
That Reuters story is a joke, PR for Wall Street. Here’s the real story on that topic:
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/taibblog/owss-beef-wall-street-isnt-winning-its-cheating-20111025
Not a mention of the free money and favorable loans showered upon Wall Street & all those succesful small businessmen who inhabit it; measure in the trillions of dollars. No comparison of those loan terms with the terms commonly foisted upon everyday borrowers. No accountability , nary an investigation of the fraud on Wall Street.
Just some vague disconnect that no one can quite understand. I think Taibbi nails it.
Had a visit from Mr Vertigo early this mornin’ so no capitalist cesspool swimmin’ today.

oh, and apparently there was “anarchy in NYC” yesterday, but a “massive protest” in Tahrir today
Rest or doc visit?
on edit;
Sorry I missed you @72. Good morning. Hope you get to feeling better.
All right, all right. Enough humor at the expense of joe and mika. Please don’t make fun of people of limited humanity. I don’t have TV now, but I watched the program for about 10 minutes once. I couldn’t stomach any more inanity, hypocrisy, and prevarication. I think that they actually didn’t have a grasp of facts and really believed what they were passing off as truth.
Also, too, from the article, “debt relief ain’t gonna happen.”
Unless you’re a supposedly sophisticated finance guy on Wall Street or monied investor about to go under due to the fraud and shenanigans of your brilliant Wall Street advisors as happened in October 2008. Then you get all the debt relief you need and then some even if it takes an act of Congress; legislation that the President himself says must be acted upon within a week’s time.
Hope you’re feeling better soon. ((SouthernDragon))
Just hangin’ at home. Got Meclizine and there isn’t anything docs can do. Not too bad this time but nausea won’t go away. Royal pain in the ass. Last thing I needed at 4:30 this mornin’.
Hey, TinKY
Are you new? If so, welcome to you!
Another requirement for appearing on the show.
(((SD))). Get better soon. We need your mind at 100%.
Hope you feel better man. *g*
I’d forgotten about that site meter, now I’m a bit self-conscious about what I might say.
But not about this: RECALL WALKER
Office work today, within 48 hours we had almost double the amount of petition circulators we thought we would need. There has been a request for window signs from people who have opened their homes as gathering and collection points, my printer is spitting them out as I write.
A second good morning to everyone.
eCAHN if you are still here, I’m replying, but it is taking a while. Check back, if you can. EPUland :)
out-fuckin’-standing.
Hey, Walker! Yeah, you, motherfucker. We’re comin’.
per the resident repression apologist on CNN, Police “videotape everything their officers do”
but somehow can’t come up with tape of the kid with the bloodied head “throwing a battery” at the cops
*snort*
assholes
I thought he only knocked a cap off of the cop. That’s what one of the protesters said on Countdown last night. He got bloodied for that. Disgusting.
3 are being charged with felonies in Denver for touching cops vest’s – of course that’s the same location where folks are being ticketed for merely honking in support of the occupiers
Take care, SD. And have a good day, all. I’m off to make phone calls and then sew!
Don’t you just love the smell of Fascism in America. /s
Have a great day MM thanks for the diary advice. :)
Last week we were looking for office help to fill advertised open hours, this week I have four extra people to train and we’ve opened a vacant office right across the hall with another table for people to sit and sign.
Word is that many avowed republicans are claiming such and stopping in to sign the petition, also.
Scary thought :)
Walker and friends are not gonna be happy when 700,000 signatures get turned in way early. heh
Almost certainly.
Good morning, freedom lovers. Great day yesterday. What’s next?
I agree. It is quite true that the overwhelming majority of the federal budget is devoted to the 99%.
SS, Medicare, Medicaid, education, school loans, government guarantees for the middle class to buy a house, public universities and many other things.
And, 90% of it paid by the top earners.
It is disgusting how the government pays no attention to the middle class.
Boycott Black Friday..Biggest shopping day of the year. H/T to SaronMI on the thread upstairs.
